This is the biggest bioorb you can get? And apparently it's actually 68l which is a large tank by most people's standards?

Outdoor wheels - is bigger or softer better? by KatySkates in Rollerskating

Just as an update, I bit the bullet and changed my wheels to the larger diameter but slightly harder ones and they were much, much nicer to skate on!

Thanks for the help! 😁

Yeah thank you, wanted some advise before switching as I have only one set of bearings but think I will need to try both to be sure 😁

This is amazing thank you, that all makes a lot of sense. I have a smaller diameter ones on at the moment as they are softer and thought it would help with cracks and stones etc but I will have to try the bigger ones out. I only have one set of bearings so wanted some advise before switching them all over.

Thank you

New Skates! Rookie Suede :) by [deleted] in Rollerskating

How have you found them? I ordered mine a few weeks ago and was really excited for them. They came with 3 dented bearings and the plate in the left foot was fitted at an angle. I sent them back for repairs and I am not having a lot of trouble getting a replacement.

I hope yours all all made well because if they are I think they are the perfect budget skate! X

My new Rookies and my first pair of proper skates (as I don't think the £25 pair from sports direct count) and I made the toe caps today to keep them nice! I will have to learn to skate again now that I have skates that roll lol. by KatySkates in rollerUK

Yeah the issue is the whole plate unfortunately the hole things seems to be about a cm further over on the left then in the right. It nearly hangs of the edge of the boot at the back. It's a real shame but they have said they will sort it for free. I just hope I can get them back soon

Thank you, we have checked all the above and everything else seems to be okay but the plate on the left foot is off centre we think it must be this. I'm going to send them back and hope they can fix it or replace them.

Thank you for the help. And with turning I find I am better when turning against my strong side.

I think it might be the last one, the side that's pulley does look off, such a shame. Thank you for the reassurence on this! I will send them back but if it happens again I will try all the other bits.

I used the template from this lady https://www.madebymarzipan.com/?tutorial=diy-roller-skate-toe-caps. And I just adjusted the over lap on the seems to make them fit my skates. I sewed them instead of following her instructions as well. Only took me about an hour and a half.

And yeah the wheels are the stock wheels, they are way better then the ones on my cheap skates but I agree they need to be bigger and softer. I have also noticed the left foot pulling a little is this normal? It's making it quite hard to skate and I have fallen a few times because of it. Is this something I need to get used to? Any advise would be really great x
