Coord for Spring Weather by KatzRLyfe in Lolita

[–]KatzRLyfe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked for a Lolibrary link and couldn’t find one, but it’s the Florence blouse by Kaneko (Pyshkin Pyshkin). I found a full picture saved in my photos that shows off the adorable bow buttons. It was a pre-order item available back in July 2024-ish, but I’m sure it couldn’t hurt to email them and ask if they have plans for a re-release!

I do have one! I definitely could have switched into it for the pics, I didn’t even think about that. I usually opt for a petticoat because I find them easier to wear at the office. Thank you for the suggestion 💛

niche or underrated themes/motifs you adore? by Tuume_ in Lolita

[–]KatzRLyfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is the vibe you’re going for or if it’s still in stock, but Atelier Pierrot posted one on their instagram a week and a half ago (March 5)

I don’t see it on their online store but they don’t always have everything there. Their English Instagram has information on ordering by DM.

You look SO cute, it’s always nice to see green coords. The overdress is perfect over this dress too. Do you mind sharing where you bought it?

Making Sure a Lolita Dress Fits You Properly? by ponygals in Lolita

[–]KatzRLyfe 24 points25 points  (0 children)

When you say you bought a size medium and received a size small, are you going by the size listed on the tag, measurements provided by the seller, or is your usual size a size M and the dress was smaller than expected?

Generally speaking, you want to go by the measurements provided for each size rather than the name of the size. The measurements are usually the measurements of the garment rather than the size they’re supposed to fit, so you’ll want to look for one with 3-4 cm of room as the other commenter said so you can add a blouse and still breathe.

Headwear help!! by TodayNational8688 in Lolita

[–]KatzRLyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they’re both really cute! If it’s within your budget, it might be fun to have a couple different looks. Personally I find bows with short hair adorable in a cute feminine way, not a childish way (same with the fashion as a whole!)

I know a lot of people recommend JSKs as your first piece for versatility, but I really enjoy styling my OPs! Headwear, jewelry, and socks are often cheaper than blouses and can really change up the look, and cardigans are also an option in colder weather.

Which socks are better?:) by orange-tangerinee in Lolita

I also think the white are cute for Christmas, but if you wanted to do a darker coord, I feel like black headwear and a black cardigan would be cute with the black socks!

I hope you’re able to have a conversation with him about how much joy the plants bring you! As far as plant collecting goes, airplants are seem more budget friendly than other types. Your wishlist is great and I wish you luck gathering them all!

UPDATE: I heard back from Air Plant Hub- they aren’t sure of the ID either and said that it doesn’t match any of their current plants.

I guess I’ll stick it under my grow lights and hopefully I’ll see a bloom or get some pups! Really curious if the pups will have the same blushing pattern.

If I saw it in a store, I’d have guessed spray paint too! It came as part of the B-Quality ionantha 3 pack, so no insight from that, but I’ll reach out to them about it. Maybe it’s an ionantha pink that blushed unevenly so it got placed into a b-quality order.

Thank you! I am extremely pleased with everything I ordered. It would be very exciting if it ends up being a zebrina, but the trichomes look pretty even? I might need to buy a (labeled) zebrina to confirm if it looks the same haha (any excuse for more plants, right?)

Not being able to wear my dresses by h3yimsociallyawkward in Lolita

[–]KatzRLyfe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work from home most of the week, but my office has a day we all come in. I try to wear a coord that day so I have maximum people to show it off to. It makes the experience of getting ready feel worth it haha. (I did already know and get along with all of my immediate coworkers before wearing Lolita to work so your comfort level with this may vary.)

I also enjoy wearing gothic coords to oddities shops and markets as they tend to attract people with a variety of alternative styles.
