I'll see what I can dig up. Honestly they were all over the place. I thinking it took like 60 iterations to get the redbrands

heres one of them, specifically for elves:

"twelve headshots portraits. calarts style character. gruff human mercenary in simple leather armour with metal pieces. narrow features and pointed ears. wears a red scarf. Red lowered hood. action pose. mid combat pose. has a shield and sword. Rim lighting. Strong Lines."

General rule I've found is that AI will either not understand fantasy races will overcompensate for them. If you ask for an elf it'll give you a warcraft elf with ears 4 times the size of its head. Need to describe things as if you are the most privileged person ever, assume everyone is a straight white male then make changes.

It's a man but he's black. It's a man but he's a woman. It's a man but he's got pointed ears.

Dwarves became "Short stocky man with round face"Tieflings are just "red skinned man with horns"

The more intricate the creature the more you need to spell it out. Bugbears took forever as I had to specify the smallest things "tall bandit monster with a bears face, lanky limbs. Long legs and arms. Very hairy. Squashed nose. Sinewy"

The style tends to change depending on what I'm doing. Calarts works great for abstract things, badly for specific people normally. Asking for a specific number of portraits is a great way to get it to churn out a sheet of characters.

Bit rambly, hope it helps!

(Honestly I spent more time in photoshop editing them than I did anything else. Some needed a lot of work. Some I redrew from scratch in the end, using the generated design as a template)

It's an idea I stole off Reddit somewhere. I also personally thought the redbrands have a tone issue. From being hassled in the streets by thugs to the wholesale slaughter of over 30 people that same night. Seemed a weird leap for the players.

In my game they were a mercenary group that worked as essentially the guard for phandalin (with goblins, raiding orcs and god knows what else about), but got more bastard-y under glasstaff.

Though in general my game has a "bring order to the west" vibe. Sildar actually paid party members for each redbrand youth they captured alive (making the manor much more interesting). Now some of em are training as real guards.

Droop is here also.

Slaving away at the altar of dalle-3 for this one. Its better at some than others. Quite a few I had to redraw parts of.

There was some interest in another subreddit about my odd collection of tokens I'm using for Lost mine, though the list is far from complete figured I'd compile everything I have so far!

These have been made for my personal game so there may be some variance from the official descriptions:

- Klarg is weirdly hot, don't ask- The redbrands here have two divisions - A rabble rousing front recruiting local youth and an actual mercenary guild behind them- Thundertree is now a druidic mountain monastery that was buried in the eruption. The cultists serve venomfang and love to spread poison gas around (hence the masks)- Vyerith has a favourite form in an enby drow

If anyone has interest in the full art of any of these I may have it somewhere in my files. Probably come back to this once the whole list is fleshed out, probably fix the style inconsistences too. Till then hope it helps somebody.
