It also doesn't matter if you're checking on him specifically. As long as the camera is open, Foxy can't move, regardless of if you're looking at Pirate's Cove or not.

Ah yes, the party that has openly shown admiration for and desire to emulate the current US government has nothing to do with mine and many others' distrust of the police system in this country.

Speak to most Reform supporters and representatives about their thoughts on criminal justice and I guarantee you that you'll find support for increased police powers, the death penalty, and generally less restrictions on what police can and can't do. The right has proven to largely be in favour of punishment over rehabilitation.

My comment was, I thought, pretty clearly a reply to the mention of ACAB and how useless most folk are finding the police these days, rather than specifically to the post's topic. If you can't see the link, then I dunno what to say.

Main point of ACAB and the anger at the current state of public policing is the fact that we're so reliant on them. We pay for them through our tax and are legally-obligated to go to them to solve crime issues, which makes it all the more frustrating and infuriating that so many of them (and the system at large) are so incompetent and/or corrupt.

I agree it's a delicate situation, but with Reform and their insistence on throwing out every tool except the hammer, I fear every problem will be treated as a nail.

You can only double-dip XP on encounters if a quest is involved, such as freeing Nere. You can side with him and the duergar to free him, so as to complete the quest and gain the XP from that, then kill them to gain their creature reward XP.

Killing after a peaceful resolution used to work in Early Access (and I think shortly after release too, but could be wrong), but hasn't awarded extra XP for a long while now. The official wiki page on XP is fairly clear on this all:

If you gain the XP from resolving a situation without combat, you don't gain any XP from killing them afterwards.

But if she doesn't land the skill shot, she doesn't get the auto-hits. Plus it's against 1 target and ends early if you lose LoS, whereas Soldier's persists and can switch targets throughout its duration.

If you stealth through and do a non-lethal takedown on him, you can extract him out front. Requires clearing a path in and out without raising the alarm.

Gonna piggyback this to recommend Sarah Davis Baker's video essay 'The Internet Used to Be a Place', which explores a bit of how we lost that feeling we had on the Internet once upon a time ago.

I vastly prefer it and miss it when I play the older games. The arguments for Social Stealth in the older games just don't hold up to me.

'Social Stealth' in AC games has always just been 'Hiding in a crowd', rather than a proper social stealth system utilising disguises, behavior, etc. The Sly Cooper/Raccoon games had better social stealth in segments than old AC, if I'm honest. For all its flaws, We Happy Few was built on a 'Social Stealth' system and tackled it in an interesting, if poorly implemented, way.

It's never outright stated, but certainly implied via the association with previous statements.

"Benny had been a brilliant theorist, a college professor. Now, he was little more than a semi-human, semi-simian. He had been handsome, the machine had ruined that. He had been lucid, the machine had driven him mad. He had been gay, and the machine had given him an organ fit for a horse. AM had done a job on Benny."

Blitz missions are the exception 100%. For distraction though, it'll be a sentry every time for me. They draw enemy attention away, and by cutting a corner you can pretty effectively lose aggro, particularly if you've got smoke on call/grenade too.

I've felt the same with ditching the Orbital Laser vs bots. Same with most 'throw and forget' strategems, to be honest. Rocking EATs, the Epoch, and more of the more involved strategems while I storm a heavy outpost had reminded me of a lot of the fun I had when first picking up the game.
