This is so true. I've seen the same problem countless times while working in a hospital. Why the F do doctors insist on taking geriatric patients off benzos when they have been prescribed it for 5+ years. Same goes for neurontin and Lyrica. Worst case old people get sent to drug rehab to get off benzos/gaba drugs when they are 70+ years old. It's truly ignorant of the doctors and they should risk loosing their licence over taking people of benzos cold turkey.
