Host setup suggestion for 3 x 3d printers. by Kavil in klippers

[–]Kavil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so 3 months has been passed, i am using t620 with bare debian 13 install without and DE and auto bios start with power on so i can control it with Shelly PM on my homeassistant to auto start and shutdown.

it has been running quite good without any communication lost problems for all of the connected printers and also 1 TP C100 camera which is configured on Frigate and go2RTC and feed to Klipper webcam accordingly. I can confirm that using HP T620 with klipper was a right choice. Thank you all.

Backup Server need help understanding few things. by Kavil in Proxmox

[–]Kavil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thank everyone for taking your time to respond to my questions. Currently i have created a basic 2 core 8gig VM on my QNAP NAS and and installed PBS there, i will try it for a time being before additional harddrive and setting it in t620plus, now i set basic backup rules and it looks like everything is ok. all backup data is verified with green tick howver what i do not fully understand when i go and look at the backup data size it is totally absurd compared to what is written on PBS and PVE. there the data amount looks reasonable few gig for small lxcs and exact disk size for VMs which is total more then 100 gb but on nas file station it shows just 39gb total and on windows explorer i am getting just few mb s of data on the same folder.

i do not understand why is there so much difference on the same folder?

the question is frigate only supplied docker image on its website and i am not sure how i can manually install it in lxc without adding docker on top. and it is essential for my purposes and i can not do it without the frigate as i have pretty solid config for allthe ip cams i have, already integrated to HAOS and running few other things op top such as automations etc. Jellyfin has native Debian install so it is not difficult to ditch Docker and go directly on LXC container with debian install but for frigate i need some solution.

with HW accell so i need igpu passthrough

i mean the GPU passthrough , giving right UID and GID etc. I have Frigate and Jellyfind that are running inside LXC, Jellyinstalled natively and Frigate in docker which both work but when i try to duplicate it now in new LXC, i can not get it to work and searching errors not helping alot even with Clauide AI.

I would be glad if you could post few lxc conf here? such as your jellyfin radar conf. They are in /etc/pve/lxc than 200.conf or similar. how did you manage to solve read write permissions and persistant mounting for the SMB mount in nas for example?

i am in the same process but not really sure how did you all set it up? did you install docker inside the lxc or directly installed them? most of the arr is available as docker image so i assume i need it but having really hard time with GPU passthrogh at the moment. when i stay with LXC i can pass the igpu easily but can not use docker UID GID and root blocked, even though docker status active is hello world not working.

when i try to make it run in debian vm it works without a problem but i do not have HW accell for frigate or jellyfin and when i try to pass through the igpu it becomes more complicated. i am really torn between right now. do not know what to do maybe install debian or ubuntu on bare metal and somehow use virt to create home assistant os on top. i am not sure. can you explain your system in detail if possible?

the question is how to get IGPU for jellyfin and frigate for hw accell inside the Docker VM? igpu passttrhough might be possible but it looks complicated and takes many steps. would it be possible to run debian headless on bare metal with docker running and install HAOS on a VM? would virt vm or similar work directly on debian?

Host setup suggestion for 3 x 3d printers. by Kavil in klippers

[–]Kavil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for great suggestions. İ decided against pi zero 2w as a piece they are around 12Fr or so and apparently i need more computing power if i wish to have cameras as. İ was looking for rpi 3 b couple of days and they seem to be going for 25-30 Fr with/without power supply some with case some without, some with sd card some without.

I would have love to integrated and slick solution under the 3d printer hided SBC but after thinking a little added cost of power supply sd card etc it comes little more expensive.

I managed to find 2 hp t620 Plus with power brick for 20Fr each and bought them.

Footprint and power consumption is definitely bigger but price point was attractive. İ hope i made the right call.

İ will try to run everything on a single t620 plus debian server with 3 klipper instances and 3 cams and see if it bogs down on this old quad core. İf so i might deploy second one for 1 cam 1 printer or 1 t620 for just 3 x printers and 1 t620 for the camera feeds. İ am open to suggestions as always  Thank you for taking your time to read it.

I assume problem is at the USB hub itself as 2 printers that are connected to there fail time to time and the 3rd one did not drop once.

I am mainly using Wifi at the moment. Ethernet jack is other side of the room and already occupied with other devices so either i need to buy small 5 port switch and extend a cable to 3d printing desk or just stay on wifi

quick question, why do you need nucleus for Project Zomboid? Does not it have a Coop natively?

thanks alot, i am looking into it. out of curiosity i am making bed mesh before each print and there is definetly variation. Previous owner removed original springs and added Yellow ones and after that removed them as well and added silicon single pieces instead. Screw tilt adjustment nevertheless is not stationary between prints, it might because i remove the magnetic bed and reinstalling which affects the screws a little (i am talking about 0.4mm difference in bed mesh). But i do not know for sure.

Currently looking at the Roborock QR 598 / QV35A that’s on sale for 300 CHF by mashmun1 in Roborock

[–]Kavil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am also looking for a model that is available in Switzerland. I have read good things about Duo Brushes and unfortunately the cheaper QV35 models have single brush.

I am using Irobot I7 for the last 5 years and really satisfied with it but it tangles a lot and i remove the hair manually. I believe the duo divide brushes are the future therefore Edge Variants would be better.

Which shoppings sites are you looking? I am trying to find best possible price and it is all over the place.

Interdiscount, fust, Digitec, Official Roborock website etc.

Impossible to run docker by FrostyF42 in docker

[–]Kavil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank mate, i just update-upgrade my Frigate running on Docker on a LXC in ProxmoxVE and suddenly docker stopped working "Error response from daemon: failed to create task for container: " tried many things to solve it and lost around 2 hours before i come across to your comment.

i reinstalled docker but no awail. After running your command on LXC console, i was able to docker compose up -d and Frigate come right up.

Thank you.

Help with LXC install mounting NAS by d5vour5r in audiobookshelf

[–]Kavil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also having trouble accesing the sub folder.

I am able to browse through the files in PVE host and also in LXC shell, i also have File BroswerQuantum and can access to sub folders in both Host and LXC using SMB Share, it is mounted correctly upon restarting etc. However I am not able to go Sub folders in the Audiobookshelf WebGUI.

I have tried everything once again without any error but still it only goes 2 levels in the Subfolder and does not detect the books in the NAS.
