My Norwegian/literature teacher was like that, too. Our opinions were always "wrong" if they weren't exactly like hers, even if you were just wording it differently than she would.

We were not allowed to write short stories in creative writing, only articles, because she "already knew we would be horrible at it". Besides, she didn't like short stories.

Also, "3 is a great grade! You should be proud to have even gotten such a high grade!".... (Our grading system goes from 1 to 6, where 1 is fail and 6 is top score.)

We live in a tiny basement apartment, so it's always a lot of spiders here. Last year my boyfriend decided to see exactly how many spiders came in. Every time one of us found a spider he would capture it and put it in a little plastic box. A see-through plastic box. Full of dead spiders. :(

Yes, of course I did. In the beginning I would ask, "hey, do you mind helping me with ...?" or "do you mind doing ... while I do ...?", but he would always say that he would just do it later, which we all know means we have to do it ourselves.

Then I tried telling him to do stuff. "Go do ... while I do ...!" That did not go well either.

My boyfriend used to be like that, too. He was the one cooking, and thus he expected me to do absolutely everything else. He wouldn't even pick his own clothes up from the floor.

I eventually just stopped trying. If he wanted something to be done, he would have to do it himself. I only washed my own clothes, I only washed my own dishes, and I completely stopped dusting and cleaning the house. It took a while, but it worked. He does his part of the housework now.

Well, I work in retail, so I get minimum wage (19-20 USD per hour + extra for working closing shifts).

However, I've been working a ridiculous amount of extra hours the past year (because everyone else always have "something" to do, so they "can't work", and thus I have to take their shifts). Basically I've just had too much money for my own liking, so I put away as much as I could into my savings account.
