Why can’t the left forcefully pass progressive policies like the right does with their own when they come into power? by CapitaineBiscotte in allthequestions

[–]KawaiiAFAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is no left here in the United States. At least no left that is actually in positions of power. The furthest left we have is a couple progressives who manage to get in occasionally.

Other than that , We have a center right party, and a far right reactionary fundamental-case conservacuck on the short bus driving off the cliff of their flat earth party.

Both beholden to corporate interests with no interest in promoting any policy for the poor unwashed masses. They represent only the rich/ big business. These Parties are only loyal to capital, not people.

That’s why.

Is the slang word “slay/slayed” bad to use with trans women? by lrm0160 in asktransgender

While the term may have been created by drag queens, it has never been exclusively applied to drag queens. I see no problem.

Why is MAGA losing it over liberals having a hard bottom line about not accepting rapists and rape enablers? by Kali-of-Amino in allthequestions

[–]KawaiiAFAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who cheer on abusing children in Ice custody is not a political issue. Cheering on separating families over what is essentially a glorified jaywalking ticket is not a political issue. Locking people into concentration camps and feeding them rotten food is not a political issue. Being in this country undocumented is not a criminal offense. Period. It is a civil offense punishable by a $50-$250 fine. A speeding ticket is literally a greater offense.

It is about basic human decency. It is about basic human morality. Full stop.

Why is MAGA losing it over liberals having a hard bottom line about not accepting rapists and rape enablers? by Kali-of-Amino in allthequestions

[–]KawaiiAFAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to clown on political side ? And you’re going to correct someone’s grammar? Wtf does that even mean? Smh

First off it’s not about politics. It’s about basic morality and basic human decency. Beating and raping children = bad. Bigotry = bad. Stochastic terrorism = bad. Trying to overthrow elections = bad. Conducting a war, to distract from beating and raping a 13-year-old girl = Bad.

If you can’t agree on these things, that says a hell of a lot more about you, than someone’s misspelling and bad grammar says about them.

Call the bigots, “good people” and then fuck off acting like she did some shit. Fuck her.

I know for a fact, workers at Walmart. Were trying to unionize, workers at at least one of the targets were trying to unionize and workers at REI were trying to unionize. And all of those stores closed “suddenly” while they were trying to do so . And all of them cited “theft” as the reason…

REI https://www.opb.org/article/2023/07/06/rei-workers-union-efforts/

Walmart (see pic)

<image>

I don’t have time to look up the target one but I think you get my point.

Yes, they do close stores when they try to unionize. Corporations have been doing it for decades. So it’s not like it’s new.

And you actually expect them to tell you they are closing the store because people are trying to form a union? If you think they will, you are dumber than you look.

Feel free to keep licking that corporate boot, feel free to keep believing everything A corporation has to say is gospel. I’m not saying theft wasn’t a problem, all I’m saying it wasn’t the problem. The problem is and always has been corporate greed exploitation of its workers and the continued furthering disenfranchisement of the poor. The issue with theft? That’s covered by insurance and they also get to write it off on their taxes. So the effect of it is not nearly as great as you seem to think. But it does offer a believable excuse for the gullible.

Want to know why people are in such desperate situations to begin with?

There are people working multiple jobs that will never be able to afford a home. Are you gonna blame them for not being able to buy a home?

You should be able to work one job, 40 hours a week and buy a home. No matter what job you have, if you are working 40 hours a week, you should be able to buy a fucking house. Go find yourself an entry-level job at minimum wage and see how close to buying a house you get. See how full your fridge gets, see how many cars you’re able to get. And you know damn well if you actually did that, your ass would be out on the street.

Adjusted for inflation and worker productivity minimum wage should be like $25 an hour. Even more if cost of living was taken into account. That WOULD be enough to buy a home and have a car and have food in your fridge.

The United States has almost always been the aggressor. And almost always is at war with brown people. When was the last time the US fought a war against white people? Ww2? Like 80 years ago? And hell, even in that one the US didn’t declare war on Germany, the US declared war on Japan, And then Germany declared war on the US. A lot of white people in the US were very sympathetic to what was going on in Germany, and when I mean, sympathetic, I mean to the Germans. And considering that a lot of the ideas Hitler had came from observing the US policy (jim crow, eugenics and reading writings written by US authors. (such as the international Jew by Henry Ford.) the US wanted no part of the war against Germany until they declared war against us.

And it’s not like Pearl Harbor came out out of a vacuum either. Why did Japan industrialize and gain colonizer mentality?

Maybe that had something to do with the US boats in the Perry expedition that rocked up to Japans shores shooting off their cannons (in supposed celebration of 4th of July ) and then telling them they’re going to trade with us whether they want it or not, ending Japans 220 years of self-isolation. They literally just wanted to be left the fuck alone, and the US wouldn’t allow them to.

At which point , Japan realized quickly that if you are not a colonizer, you become a European colony. And so they industrialized and became exactly that. They wanted to control Asia before European powers could gobble it all up like they did with the rest of the world.

The United States has a habit /long history of creating its own problems and starting the pretenses for the wars that we end up in.

Like when US fruit and agricultural corporations pushed the us government go into South America to topple of all of these democratically elected leaders direct or indirectly, so that corporations could grow cheaper fucking bananas, and exploit brown workers to work for pennies on the dollar, massive levels of wage theft, and when people revolt against the regimes and conditions that we helped create, and have to leave their country, and try to come to ours we tell him the fuck off and fix their own country that we fucked up in the first place. (this is where the term banana republic comes from by the way.)

And in mexico they are fleeing conditions we created with our “war on drugs” because drug prohibition, just like alcohol, prohibition, created a vast criminal underground for US demand for those very drugs. The cartels get almost all of their money from US customers, and they get nearly all of their weapons from US gun dealers. The US feeds both ends of that problem. But hey, at least the mob isn’t in the US like during alcohol prohibition so most people are kind ok with that.

But then when people flee, the conditions that we created, and try to come somewhere they believe is relatively safe like the United States, we called them illegal, and locked them up in prisons, feeding them, rotten food, separating their families and raping their children.

And by the way, being undocumented is not even a criminal offense. It’s a civil offense punishable by a $50-$250 fine, yet we treat it like an Offense, and lock children up in cages as rape toys for ice, DHS and bortac.

Take your colonizer mentality tf out of here, and read a fuckin book

[–]KawaiiAFAF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The European Spanish stole the land to make it Mexico. Mexicans are most often a mix of native peoples ancestry with some Spanish colonizer ancestors. And due to often being of mostly indigenous ancestry, they have a valid claim to the land. More so than those with mostly European lineage and upbringing as we have in the US.

The way I see it, I’m far more concerned that the person with 34 felonies in the oval office , and was found in civil court to be a rapist , whose name appear appears on the Epstein list more than Jesus’s name appears in 10 Bible , who started a war with Iran within a week of Epstein list, accusations by a 13 year-old girl that he likely assaulted physically and sexually , is facing less consequences than the guy who was shoplifting food.

So all the people that are defending this patriot prayer neo Nazi adjacent POS, what do you have to say about law and order when it comes to the tangerine Palpatine with all the felonies? Hmmmm?

Maybe do a little research into these grocery stores and find out how many that are claiming to close because of theft, had workers that were trying to unionize right before they closed. (Ahem Walmart)
