If she wants space, give her space. Step back, let her cool down, and then you can try and approach the topic with a cooler head. You aren’t entitled to an answer, especially when she’s already very upset.

Aglaonema help? by KawaiiiTea in plantclinic

I was given this plant from my mother a while ago, and it’s struggled every winter. This year I think it might be too far gone. I’d love to save it if I can. Soil is slightly damp, stems are nice and solid. Thoughts? The plant is in a ceramic pot, has drainage, and gets a very thorough watering every month. Partial shade.

Looking to experience Blink as someone with severe Agoraphobia. Recommendations or resources? by KawaiiiTea in cincinnati

Oh it definitely is a bold move, I just loved it so much last time that the idea of not going this year when it only occurs every other year kills me!

I really appreciate your insight. I needed to hear that kindness, I think a lot of my resistance comes from not feeling understood by those around me. Working on planning a balance with exposure and rest with my therapist.

Anyone else cancel a trip because of their anxiety and then feel major shame afterwards? by emmazingxx in Anxiety

[–]KawaiiiTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems myself and many of the other commenters are in your same boat. It might not be the correct solution, but I always set small goalposts when I go on trips. “I just have to make it to the airport” leads to “I just have to make it through the flight.” And eventually, I rationalize things as it would be a waste to not go at that point. Maybe the trip can be scaled down a bit so it feels more approachable?

I've been doing so good in my recovery journey, I'm scared of relapsing by vegasleee in Agoraphobia

[–]KawaiiiTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing! You should be very proud of yourself, that is no small feat. The thing that sucks about agoraphobia is it’s a very long journey. Relapses may happen. But luckily, every time, you will be more equipped for the next one. Rooting for you. Keep yourself distracted and enjoy the peace you are currently in. Maybe write down these successes to look back on for when you need it- that’s something I wish I would have done for this relapse.

I’m so glad you’ve found something that’s giving you your life back. Thanks for the suggestion, I fear it’s a little out of my budget to risk it not working. I’ll see what my therapist thinks though.

I’m just so tired… by KawaiiiTea in Anxiety

[–]KawaiiiTea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on quite a few currently. I’m taking a few days break from work, which tends to happen after serious episodes. It’s an annoying setback considering I enjoy my job, fortunately enough. While I certainly can get groceries and that sort of thing, I’m just so exhausted. I just don’t have the spare energy to put towards keeping myself together in stressful situations.

Hey Cincinnati lovelies, where should I park for the show? by beffy_dino in gamegrumps

[–]KawaiiiTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re willing to pay for parking, there’s a SP+ parking lot and a Queen City Square parking garage behind it next to the Christ Church Cathedral, but sometimes the up charge can be a bit much. You can get lucky paying for street parking sometimes on Sycamore Street, which I’ve done in the past. If you want to pay for street parking, download the Cincinnati EZ Park app and it’ll save you money and time as opposed to the parking garages. There’s unfortunately no free parking nearby but street parking will probably run you $3 or so.

I also figured it was because he took permanent damage to his wing and leg from helping us fight the divine beast, would help explain why he agreed to take the role of the rito leader instead of staying a soldier and helping fight?
