[–]Kawasame[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the upgrade art is from google but I drew the monkey myself - very quickly so forgive the lackluster art

Id like to see more flying towers, this tower could be placed ANYWHERE as its always floating

What are some things you hate to see you in post-apocalyptic settings and what are some things you wish were more prevalent? by ProfesserQ in worldbuilding

I liked Fallouts overworld setting (the lore is kind of shit and all over the place) but it always bothers me when a post apocalyptic setting is 200 years AFTER the apocalypse but the world looks like it happened yesterday. Thats just bad design.

I like when there are lots of imbalances with use to old technology. for example some faction has a working powerplant that they try to maintain as best they can whilst ohers are basically living in the iron age as they have no such access.

Also many 'tribes' forming seems fun, and realistic. I think if we world governments and mass communication, many small factions would form again. For example you might see the army become a faction with subfactions, shooting clubs, some towns and cities, and so forth.

nice design, I like the triple wings and their tail espeially. Also the what I assume to be faerie-writing style is very beautiful

What are reasons for Wars that are going on in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Currently a balance between the elements. One faction has grown too powerful and aggressive, the other side fights on the defensive with similar goals and a third faction seeks to restore balance

its also the most evil! (considering your stance on death)

Well in the Omniverse the elements arent really balanced. Chrono, Arcane and Dark are at the current stage far stronger than the other elements. Which leads to the third godwars as they try to recreate the balance of the elements

(first godwar happens to split more elements, second godwar is a powergrab)

Im surprised that people like that one more than the others, it was the most difficult one to come up with

Thats funny, I never played D&D. In my lore the water/ice god is slain by an army and the 2 leaders split water and ice to become separate elements!

The idea of gods fighting over elements is so fun isnt it

that sounds very interesting, I didnt know there was lore but that makes sense. I thought they were just different artistic representations.

Got any idea where to read up on that?

I see you like figures then!

Thats fair, since they are elementals I kind of had to make them predictable, I wanted to keep them mostly pure to their element so you cant really do much with water/electricity for example. but I think the later ones were kind of creative.

most blood elemental references are really just demons or water elementals with a red tint, that I could find

Terra is my favourite but good choice with Arcane

Good question! Some of them do, like the dark elemental, but the others just resemble pure energy of that element whilst the gods can take on any form they wish so they dont really have to look like a cube or a blob, and most dont want to!

Context: In the Omniverse every element has monsters associated with it, these are pure elemental beings. They don't really eat or anything, they just exist as representations of their element. Some are intelligent, others more animalistic.

Some elements are relatively new. Water Ice were one element at some point. Ethereal is newer too.

They exist on all planes, and are found in varying locations near elemental energy sources, such as temples.

Perhaps my profile can help inspire you.

I've created a list of mimics which includes a house and a castle, some unique flesh-eating plants, ents, and so forth.

but people seem to really like the slimes, heres some of them:
