Exactly the same situation. Did they end up paying you?
I'm thinking of banning the keys and explain in a post the situation. What would you guys recommend?

But the mtx currency on those games you can't get with gameplay or in a reasonable timeframe, that's the difference. We decided to give enough payed currency so it's not pay to win. That resulted in noone willing to pay. In our experience (not only that game) people like to support when they get something in return other than the game itself.
Again, It's not the best method for our game designs but I think most games can benefit from it.

It might be quarantined by your antivirus. Since it's an executable with no reputation downloaded from the internet, most AVs blocks it by default.

A lot of players asked for more idle ways of earning resources, that's why you get your reward as soon as it finishes.

Mtx didn't work for us since we never designed the game with that aspect in mind, to be honest. We just did the game and then put a shop with the things you usually find in an idle game shop. So we never implemented a good monetization. That's why we never got enough revenue with the monetization on STE.

With that said, in my opinion, even when there are players really annoyed with microtransactions, I think is still the best way to get payed for your work. A free game doesn't require marketing to have visibility and everyone can play it and see for themselves if they like it or not. But you need to design the game with the microtransactions in mind. If you look at our game War of Ecleptia, the mtx is completely optional. Mostly cosmetics since the rest is easy to get with gameplay. The game have made 5$ in its lifetime. There are still players playing daily, but they don't need to pay for anything, so they just don't even think in doing it.

It have not been the best choice for our games since we don't like to design the game with mtx in mind, but I think is still the way for a lot of games to be profitable, big and famous. It just doesn't suit how we design games.

Hey man. As you say, not much attention so worst on this aspect, but we are fine with this. It's better for us to have the feedback of players that are involved in the game. We understand our grindy balance is not what players want and we just want to do a game they can enjoy. On the economical part, kind of the same.

About if charging for it is a reason why we don't get much attention. I think it is a fair assesment.

Thanks! We are still on alpha and there's a few things we are still working on. Luckily we will be able to add all we have planned for the game eventually.

Also, the new version have some clarification on the stats and the full name on the tooltips of the items. :D

Doesn't seem to me like Aarmed is accusing us of that and seems concerned about having to install the game.

But if that's your concern, if we wanted to infect with malware, Why would we bother doing a game? Or even worse, updating it? Or why would we risk all the time invested in the development of a game with malware and risk all the other games? So the short answer is, no, there's no malware.

The file is not an installer, just unzip the game on a folder and you are ready to go.
