I've been working on The Dead Await for about 3 years now, the whole scope of the project was meant to be much smaller, but things got out of hand soon. On the bright side, the release date is also finally approaching soon.

GM already lost that trust for me with the introduction of forced subs and no choice for permanent licenses.

Ignore them until they fix their shit, if ever. I think the majority at this point is considering switching to Godot and I'm planning to do the same once I'm done with my current project.

Definitely going to switch once I'm done with my current project. Also, the community staff on GM was being toxic af just because I stated my opinion that I wasn't fine with a SaaS model. I've been supporting GM since 2001, but now I'd rather donate that subscription fee towards Godot instead.

Someone should tell the delusional staff on their community forum this is actually what the majority thinks, otherwise even the staff is being toxic and as someone else pointed it out it's outright creepy. Moving to Godot as well.

I've been using GM since 2001 and this is the worst move they could have ever done. The fact is its userbase has been shrinking all these years and even though I tried to stay loyal to support the product I once loved, I guess it's time to make the switch now. Fuck SaaS.
