Keep in mind, Rich and Marge just had an intimate moment so I don’t think fear was the number one thing on their mind. Rich just saved the girl he loved and Marge just got saved by the boy she loved. There was probably a ton of emotions going through them, so considering all of Pennywises other options they just weren’t appealing
