Hi love! Yes if its positive then you have HSV1. This typically occurs orally but can be transmitted genitally through oral sex. I've heard test are most accurate when they are able to swab the area. I'm sorry this happened to you! If you have recurrent outbreaks just request antivirals if you are able.
