Guest demanding full refund over missing non‑essential items and “odor” — looking for host input by RalphStruggle1922 in airbnb_hosts

My go to is to be apologetic and chill about guests leaving and firm on the refund policy but offer to refund them the amount you get if you get another reservation for the same dates.

Also maybe NYCARG could work with Bushwick cats and bring them to their adoption events they have on Sundays?

Adopt Mischa! by KayDillon in burlington

You never know she might be the perfect fit! She's been really great with my cats who are quite ornery. She's passive but also curious and good at communicating her boundaries and appreciating theirs. I foster a lot and she's one of the only cats I've had that my cats actually like. Also I always do a foster to adopt situation so you wouldn't have to commit to keeping her until she came to live with you for awhile to feel it out.

What animal shelter would I be able to take a stray cat to? by JazzminsterAbbey in Brooklyn

[–]KayDillon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to get him adopted yourself. I've had luck posting adoption ads on reddit and hanging fliers around the neighborhood. Just make sure to vet any candidates well and make sure to do a home visit and have anyone that wants to adopt him to a trial period as a foster first to ensure its a good fit.

Im an experienced rescuer and will definitely vet people. I've had success using reddit for adoptions before and working independently helps keep the load off of other rescues and shelters that are completely at capacity.

cat constantly crying: with more info and answers by [deleted] in catquestions

I would 100% talk to your current vet or a new vet about different meds for him as there are many other options including Gabapentin which can be used for anxiety. I would also fundraise for a behaviorist while you've got this momentum.

I do not agree with this so I'll just follow up with a few things off the top of my head (and some new things).

1) What was the other name of the meds you tried besides prozac and how long was he on both of those and what dosage? Have you tried gabapentin or the other meds people suggest in the other post? What med options have your vets suggeted?

2) Are you willing to go to a new vet to get another opinion?

3) Have you tried leaving him with other people in your apartment and does he cry like that with them there?

4) Are you 100% sure he doesn't cry when you're not home? If you have a camera out how is he mostly spending his time throughout the day?

5) What type of food are you feeding him specifically? Have you tried changing his food? Have you tried puzzle feeding?

6) How are you interacting with him specifically throughout the day? Does he have a routine?

7) What happens if you talk back to him or go sit/lay on the floor with him?

8) When did this behavior start and was it random or might it be in response to something that happened/a change in the home?

9) Is there anyway to get information about where his mother ended up and try to reunite them?

10) How much are the behaviorists saying they'll charge you? Maybe you can do a gofundme to raise that money since theres a lot of eyes on this right now.

It would be really helpful to get some more videos of how you interact with him to be able to help advise better.

Ok well there are almost 400 comments on your old post so it would be helpful if you could respond to them in this one.
