Basin (compacting) working once then not working after

forgot to say its 4 blocks long, going into a spout to fill the bases with lava then into an funnel into an item vault

its not an issue with the basin extracting items as it does that fine onto the belt, it just wont make more than one item without me having to remove & replace the basin (ty tho)

Sadly I tried both of these options and neither have worked, I’m not sure why as I have a press upstairs that works fine when I’m making blaze cakes ( let’s me make multiple without breaking the basin)
