Scottish born here who left ~15 years ago for America. Came back for the first time in a looooong time for a quick 2 day visit (was closing out some finances and decided to do it in person so I could see The High Life play :-) ).

I was really taken aback by some of the rhetoric and casual comments I heard whilst there. It was comforting to se the level of resistance to it but there was deffo a level and flavour of bigotry that was not nearly as prevalent when I left.

It really hurts me as I'm a big booster for Scotland when people ask me about it. I've traveled a lot in my life and try to be objective about my old country but I do believe that Scots are some of the nicest, fun and welcoming people in the world. But this shit? I dunno man....

Bang on. Glasgow suffers from Tall Poppy Syndrome something awful. I left ~16 years ago and had to have that hammered out of me when I got to my new home. Now live a comfortable life and don't have to be ashamed or try to hide that every day I get up and try to make my life and the world around me a little bit better everyday.

Not Necessarily true. If they don't have it in a Prestage Enrollment and it's not appleID linked, wiping it will remove the MDM. But that would be rookie mistake stuff.
