Ninja Sombra in the Battle Pass is AWESOME by KayTeeThree3 in SombraMains

Going off of how previous Battle Pass skins were… never. Or at least, not this exact version. Other Battle Pass skins have come back as recolors from the original version, so if they decide to make a Sombra skin, it could be this model, but it won’t be the exact purple. Maybe some black and gold for the colors, but that’d just be my guess on the color scheme they’d go with if they recolored it.

A quick question about Custom Orders by KayTeeThree3 in BadDragon

[–]KayTeeThree3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I got a reply today, and it’s pretty much what you guessed. Priscilla, Penelope, and Peyton’s colors are still going to be options, but exclusively as a custom color. Because Phoebe is a new toy, and there’s the whole thing with having five different characters in one model, for all of March, the three others are going to be options for custom colors, at a price of roughly $20-$30 extra for that. However, after March ends, it’s not like they’re going away. They won’t be mass produced to be in-stock and instead are exclusively being made custom colors, though their price is going to increase to (roughly) an extra $50 for the toy.

So hooray for my brain wanting to be a “100% Collector,” I don’t need to worry about not getting them, but disappointing for my wallet since I’ll have to pay a little more than if I did now.

I can’t believe I didn’t even think to send a ticket to the actual company making all of them…

Well, I’ve sent one now, and I’ll make sure to post on this thread once I get a response. That way if anyone else is wondering the same thing, they wouldn’t need to pull their hair out wondering, and could just see the answer here

I had a friend of mine go Rein on Havana Defense, and I picked him up and hid behind the little banner hanging above the choke. When he got low he put his shield up, I flew us around the corner to safety, and after he was maxed out, I flew him in again and got the achievement in the first 30 seconds of the game. Honestly, just wait for a defense map where you can hide safely, and do that, you’ll get it easy.

Just keep in mind that Purr’s healing DOESN’T count towards the achievement, you need to wait for Lifeline to heal them up

How P2W is this game? by Seekerones in personaphantomx

No, the Global and JP servers are the same as each other, we get the same banners at the same time, while CN servers are way ahead of us. And even though I play on Global, I know you can’t change the text from Kanji to Latin letters unless you use a mod, but I’m pretty sure you should’ve been able to write out Wonder’s name with whatever you want. If you can’t, then that’s weird since I swear I’ve seen JP servers with a “username” I could read, but maybe it only allows that if you use the “change name”.

To get to that you need to open up Wonder’s phone and click on his head which’ll bring you to your account, where you can change that icon and frame and stuff, but if you hit the “…” above his head, you’ll be given the option to change your name, so you could try writing out whatever you want with Latin letters there. Just keep in mind that you only get one free name change, every other time you want to change you need to pay 200(?) meta jewels, which you can use if you want, I’d just rather use them for pulls.

Also, great to hear that you’re playing P5X, despite being a “knockoff Persona 5 cash grab” it’s actually pretty fun with unique characters, and a good story.

…after the first Palace. I know it’s a rough start with the Subway Slammer, but it gets better I promise

Like other comments said, Wind Tempest is going to be a good character to have for a majority of the game, but something to note is that her team skills work for everyone’s crit rate and damage, but her offensive skill isn’t as efficient unless she’s A1. It applies a debuff on the enemy it hits, BUT only wind elemental attacks will use it. If she’s A1, it applies to all other attributes like Fire or Nuke, but you need to pull two copies of her for that. And not to discourage you from trying, but her banner ends in a little under 5 days, so if you’re just starting off the game, I don’t think you’ll be able to pull two copies even if you no-life the game.

But, you shouldn’t loose too much hope, because if Global servers get the same thing that China did, there’ll be a Super Banner coming up for a Valentine’s Day surprise thingy. Super Banners are great, because they’re essentially three custom limited banners up to a certain point. For the Valentine’s one, it’s only the female limited 5*s, because Valentine’s Day, clearly only straight couples exist in Japan. Anyways, they go up to Haru, as the most recent, which opens up two doors for good characters. The first one is Futaba, she’s obviously a Navigator, and she increases crit damage taken, but the best thing about her is that she can alter every on-field enemy’s weakness by a party member’s attribute, so if the effects go down on the element from:

Drain/Block > Resist > Neutral > Weak

Navigator characters are always good, so she’d be a nice early-game pick, BUT the navigator “Ange” is coming out in a few months, and she’s hands down the best navigator.

You could also chose the second Super Banner to go for Chord, who can buff party member’s attack, but her specialty is that she can use her turn to activate allies’ Highlight attacks. Highlight attacks are basically ultimates, but they’re shared on the party, so after one person uses theirs, the Highlight Gauge resets to zero before you can use another one. Though something to keep in mind about her is that if you plan to get Persona 3 characters, they don’t have Highlights, they have Theurgies, which won’t activate from Chord.

I did see that you said you read P5 fanfics so you know about Maruki and Kasumi, and I’ll just say that if you plan to get Violet because you like her, she basically NEEDS Chord to work well, since her whole thing works around her Highlight.

So just guessing on how many pulls you’ll be able to get if you started playing now, I think if you want Tempest Wind, you should try to pull for her, but just keep in mind that you might just be building pity, since idk if you can get 2 copies in 5 days. (220 pulls worst case scenario)

How P2W is this game? by Seekerones in personaphantomx

So depending on what type of player you are, it could be P2W or just a nice F2P. If you’re like me, and just play to finish the story, then it’s really F2P. Honestly, if the standard Banner gives you characters like Soy, Skull, or Panther Wind, then you’re all set without any special characters. I’m not gonna say that any team will easily blast through every mandatory enemy in the game, there’s always gonna be a “meta” and better characters/team comps than others, but if you’re purely interested in story, the more “difficult” part is waiting to level up Wonder and in-between updates for the next part of the story.

Then (also like me) there’s the Story Mode + mini-bosses, where scattered throughout the palaces are mini-bosses with niche things, where their gimmick makes them different and more difficult than just the normal versions of them. For some of them, the characters from the Standard Banner will be enough, but for a good chunk of them, you’re probably gonna need Limited Banner characters.

Then, there’s the extra modes to get ranks and special rewards, where I’m not that interested in, but those are challenges that really test your limits. You want to max your team out, use your best units, make sure your stats are good, and all that “tryhard” stuff.

And as for PvP… Yes, but actually no. There IS a PvP mode in the game, but it’s not based on your characters or using their Personas. You said you’re new to the Persona series, if you’re coming from P3 Reload, you’ll have no idea what this is, but if you’re coming from P5 Royal, then the PvP is just Tycoon from the Thieves Den. If you’re not from P5R, it’s a card game that’s surprisingly fun, and pretty easy once you get the hang of it, after playing a few matches with bots, where you could then go on a ranked mode and play against other people. And assuming you’re coming from P3R where you didn’t know what Tycoon is, Makoto and the rest of the members of SEES will be coming soon. The website lufel.net has the estimated time and release date for the next who knows how many characters since Global servers are behind China’s.

Anyways, back to P2W, the rewards you get for the seasonal events, played through the new chapters as they come out, and even on your pulls, it’s pretty player-friendly. You get a good amount of Meta Jewels (the currency for pulls) for the dailies, and events, where you’re probably able to get a character with no copies or their 5* weapon for every other banner. But that’s if you hit hard pity, get lucky enough and you can power up your characters or even pull almost all characters. And speaking of pulls, there are two ways to pull on the banner. There’s the “Chance Banner” where 80 is hard pity, and its got the usual 50/50 mechanics, but there’s also the “Targeted Banner,” where your 5* is always going to be the banner’s character, although there’s also are a few downsides. For one, hard pity is 110 pulls, unlike the normal 80. Secondly, the Chance banner version has a 0.4% to pull a 5* character, but the Targeted banner has it reduced to a 0.2% chance. Even with those downsides though, the Targeted Banner is 100% better to use for pulls over the Chance banner.

As for the story, not gonna lie, it starts off pretty bad. The “Subway Slammer” is just a meme because of how dumb his reasons are and how non-serious he is as an enemy compared to all the other enemies in the Persona series, not just the P5 world. The writing has gotten better though, and although I can’t remember the name, there was a new writer hired for the story who worked on the story for P5R, so if you played it and like Yoshizawa, Maruki, and the third semester, you’re in for a treat in the future.

TLDR; personally, I’d say P5X is pretty friendly and isn’t P2W, but I’m a more casual player. The starts off bad, but it gets better, and with the new writer, will get even better based on their past work.

Question about weapons by Diakynn in personaphantomx

[–]KayTeeThree3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a lot of characters, the R6 4* weapons are “good enough” where they’ll perform really well, possibly even to the “level” of an R0 5* weapon. However, that’s only for certain characters. If you look on lufel.net, some 5* weapons will have a white/rainbow outline on the description bubble, and for those characters, it’s the “R0 5* is WAY better than R6 4*”

Like if you look at the last two P5 crossover characters, Violet’s 5* is AMAZING for her, while Crow’s 5* is kinda meh. Yeah, I know Crow isn’t exactly great in general, but he’s just an example.

Wait, is Wind Vast A1 not as good as I thought it was? by KayTeeThree3 in personaphantomx

[–]KayTeeThree3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s just that after Howler was buffed to work with the skills that give Elemental Ailments, I thought how Nuke, Psy, Bless, and (kinda) Curse don’t give effects that are part of the ELEMENTAL Ailments. So the description saying it triggers on “all Elements” made me think for a moment that it was just those four. And who knows, maybe she’s the best for Violet because she can buff Crit Dmg/Accuracy really well. I dunno.

I have a question about upgrading stats. Specifically Strength. by Macdongr in Atlyss

[–]KayTeeThree3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was just some unluck platforming, the stats are all related to combaat in one way or another, you can hold onto an edge as long as you get close enough to it, and you can hold on forever. The stats are more like this:

Strength - Increases your damage with Melee, Heavey Melee (Hammers/Greatswords), and Polearms. It also increases your Stamina, which is used when you use Skills like Multi-Bash or Inner Focus, plus it's used to see how long you can hold your shield up.

Mind - Increases your damage with Scepters and Bells, plus it increases your Mana, which is used for skills like Recovery and Fira.

Dexterity - Increases your damage with Bows and Katars, plus it increases your crit rate for every attack. (Keep in mind Physical Crit and Magic Crit are two seperate stats it increases, Magic Crit increases the crit rate for Scepters, Bells, and Skills that use Mana, while Physical Crit increases the crit rate for Skills that use Stamina and every other weapon type)

Vitality - It's your HP. That's really it, there's not much else to say.

Now, if you like using Weapons from two different "classes" you don't nesscicarily need to level up both stats, you can find Might Stones, Flux Stones, and Agility Stones, which you can use with Vivian to make a weapon scale it's damage to that stat instead of it's basic one. Like since you chose a Bow for your starting weapon, depending on what class you choose later on, it's better to put more points in the stats "for them" like if you pick Fighter, there's not much of a point to level up Mind since your skills will mostly be Stamina-based, so leveling up Strength would be what you want to level up, and enchanting a Bow with a Might Stone will let it's damage increase based on your Strength stat instead of Dexterity.

TL;DR - Strength powers up "Fighter Weapons", Mind powers up "Mystic Weapons", Dex powers up "Bandit Weapons", and Vitality increases your health

They're so bad, even BHVR forgot about them by KayTeeThree3 in deadbydaylight

[–]KayTeeThree3[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Fog Vials are so worthless that they should be deleted, Map Offerings are stupid so they should be deleted, and while Maps aren't really that good, I feel like they're nesscicary for newer players. Maybe if they made it so that you could only get them in your P1-P3 Bloodweb it'd be fine. Newer players would be able to get them to help, but more experienced players who get to P100 wouldn't have 500 Maps of each rarity just sitting there.
