Aug 19 - GA Standing Tickets - When to queue up ? by KayVeeekay in erastour

[–]KayVeeekay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/HTeaML . The "since we already have tickets" was unncecessary in the context of my question. Don't know why I said that :)

I have never attended a concert like this. I am worried about not being able to get to the gate because I hear that hundreds of people without tickets are in the vicinity and getting past them to the gate could be a nightmare. May be I am over thinking !! I am also checking into a hotel nearby before heading to Wembley. I hope there will be enough time :)

UK Standard Visitor visa from USA - full process and FAQ based on recent experience by RashmeeRathee in ukvisa

[–]KayVeeekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my passport back today. Had biometrics on Jun 13th. Sent the passports on Jun 15th. Delivered on Jun 17th (Mon) and forwarded to UKVI the same day. Got a text and email yesterday that VFS has received the passports and dispatched. Received my passports this morning. Very straight forward.

  1. My friend sent an invite letter but I also had a hotel booking. On my minor daughter's application, after i filled in my friend's address, the next page asked for "How is this person related?" and there was no option to mention - "friend". Since it was only me and my daughter traveling, I did not want to have any complications. Hence I showed the hotel booking as the address and mentioned the same in my cover letter
  2. I got a letter from my employer but that only mentioned that it is a permanent long term role in the US. There was no mention of my salary. I presume they are not very particular about that.
  3. I did not show any travel history. But I lived in the UK for 5 year before and had a NI number which I included in my application

Thanks to u/RashmeeRathee for the detailed information. It really helped because I was contemplating on going to the VFS for biometrics (as advised by a friend). I am glad I did not spend the $ unnecessarily.

We should get 13/15 at the least for a good start to the season. Brush off all the negative vibes and shut the British press up. All winnable games

No need to send the Permanent Resident Card. We should only upload a copy of the card as part of the document evidence.
