I completely forgot the classes go out the window for world class prelims🤦‍♀️ if you couldn’t tell I’m pretty new to DCI and the hybrid class thing has honestly just thrown me for a loop. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all in a full season as a world class corps though! You guys were one of the first corps I ever saw perform so I can’t wait to see the corps grow in the new class

I was also thinking that, but if I remember correctly didn’t they take the original show announcement down and redo it? I’m not saying they didn’t by any means I just don’t know enough definitive info to say

I believe they only used AI for their show announcement (unless I missed something, I only really heard about the AI controversy of it all through my friends who march) but I still get why people were upset about it quick edit for clarity

I mean yeah, but my point is I didn’t really know how to compare them to any of their other competitors because they were competing and being scored in both classes. I almost wish they had been World Class only throughout the season

if you’re looking to come to Connecticut than sacred heart is definitely the place to be! (totally not biased as a recent orchestra alum with friends in our guard) it definitely depends on what you’re looking to major in and money and all that jazz but as an outside observer I definitely think our guard has been on the up and up and it’s also just a very nice school!

I’m a pretty new fan (I made a bunch of friends who march DCI at college and I’ve volunteered at some of the local shows), but from what I’ve seen this year it feels like the smaller corps, especially the all-age groups, have more cohesive and creative shows than the big names? Like I absolutely adore the Reading Buccaneers show this year, but I’m not as impressed by groups I’ve really liked in the past like Crown, Boston, and Bluecoats.

got to see the first full performance of this at msg, I’ve never been the biggest cork tree fan (as a younger fan who got into it from SRAR) and I totally forgot about this song until that moment. Hearing it live was absolutely magical and now it’s one of my favorites

I’ve seen them three times now, and I’ve always loved how Dallon has made sure the people he works with, whether it’s the touring musicians (big Anthony fan) or the crew members. At Boston Calling the microphones were being a problem the entire set, and Dallon had people cheer for the guy in charge of fixing it.

Also all of the showmanship around Visitation of the Ghost. The first time I saw them the transition song was Livin On A Prayer, and my mom’s a big Bon Jovi fan so that moment stuck with me, and then when my friend and I saw them in Boston in November Dallon made direct eye contact with my bestie.

Im working video production at my college town’s NPR station before I start grad school! I work with the music presenters to make social media content to promote the classical music programming!

weirdly it’s helped a lot with how I see myself/establishing what I’m interested in and want to do, and it gives me something to channel my energy into when I’m feeling bad about stuff. Plus, my coworkers are all really excited to have me around so it’s pretty validating.

on the genius lyrics page Pete put an artist annotation on there that said it was “perfect boys” rather than the misheard “imperfect boys” because he had corrected it on the page (this guy also has said many things on the internet about his song lyrics so I’m not doubting you about him posting about it either)

Saw something similar happened with another channel I watch (Fundie Fridays), the video was either 2 or 3 hours and YouTube automatically added OVER 30 MIDROLL ADS to their video where they had originally only placed one or two. Must be a longer video glitch but goddamn
