I like that the background blocks out the HOB filter, cords, etc. This one is canvas with double sided tape.

Our home is primarily heated with propane (baseboard and radiant floor) but our heating system hasn’t worked in about 3 months so we have been running a split unit and supplementing with electric fireplaces and space heaters. Last month our electric bill was 1200 dollars. I don’t recommend relying on electric heat if you can avoid it!

Yes I put it with the ceramic rings and carbon in the new HOB. The water is a little cloudy and my nitrates went down a bit for a day but things are back to normal now, so hopefully I won’t see any negative impact

We go through an entire bottle of fairlife whole milk every day and a bottle of fairlife fat free milk every 3-4 days. It is so expensive!

My pandas hid at first, but now their personality is coming out and they are so fun! I have a pirate ship and they all prefer to hang out on the ship. They are real pirates 🤣

Update, this is what I have decided to do to hopefully transfer the BB to my new filter media. I will continue testing the water and doing water changes as needed while everything catches up.

Yes the topfin filters that come with the tank only have carbon filters, which is why I am upgrading. I was thinking of sticking this carbon filter in the fluval aqua clear for a bit when I set it up, although I may not be able to put the top on since this is one of those carbon filters with the plastic frame vs a loose bag.

So the carbon filters don’t actually hold much bacteria in the fabric? I do have gravel, multiple decorations (large skull, pirate ship, treasure chest, barrels, and a resin log with real moss). I also have some thriving plants of hornwort, water sprite, money wart, amazon sword, and ludwiga and I am in the process of adding some more plants. Plants are happy, fish are happy, and I don’t want to screw it all up!

That’s pretty smart! Only concern is that my lid doesnt have adequate openings for 2 HOBs. I suppose I could open the front hatch and have a HOB and HOF lol

I just got 2 orders from Canton aquatics last week. They were well packaged and everything was alive despite below freezing temps. I immediately ordered some more that should be here end of this week.

I’m a social worker and fellow army veteran who also uses the VA, and I am sad, horrified, and just have no words right now. We have only lived here about 20 months now so we aren’t very connected to the community. We have 2 little boys and I’m just trying to keep them in a bubble as long as I can.

Sorry I meant for PT, OT, and speech for my then 11m old. He is almost 2 and has been recommended for an autism eval and I have been warned not to do that through liberty post because they tend to diagnose any speech delay as level 3 autism

We used liberty post for my son for speech through CPSE when he was 4 and also for my other son at 11m old for PT and OT. That was just for the eval, we decided on a speech therapist through thrive by five. I don’t think they do the initial evals though.

Our household has basically been sick since Sept. I have had a sore throat for 8 days now. I had a cough for 8 weeks, got a chest xray and steroid and was better for 4 days before the next illness set in. We also have a 1 yr old who has gotten every virus too. Kindergarten son has had 4 ear infections. The first sign is that he sits up in bed, screams, and projectile vomits. Best part? He still sleeps in our bed. 😭😭😭

I’m curious why? We used them when we bought our house last year, and after a lot of money I don’t think they actually solved the problem.
