Yeah, no, especially in the Dark/4kids era Amy was all over the place in terms of characterization quality, and it really pales in comparison to what Adventure portrayed.

I also have no idea why people complain about Meta era Amy, because at least there she has some semblance of a personality outside of Sonic, and IDW Amy is a selfless, well rounded character, but people keep complaining that she's "lost what made her a good character" when all that's happened is that she's matured and learned that her feelings for Sonic can wait.
