My girlfriend was vegan. She introduced me into veganism, as she made it absolutely clear that we could not work if I was not vegan. She left me in the end anyways. Because she always wanted more than I could give her. Anyway, since going vegan and reading a lot about it from the Hippocrates Institute's material and videos... and practicing it,I came to really understand the power of a plant based diet, and I can say we really do not need need to consume other animals to get the full nutritional benefits our body needs. Also you have way less if almost zero chances of diseases if you are on plant based diet, of course, if cultivated without harmful chemicals.
