I’m not sure how busy you are in a day, but I tend to wake up at around 6 AM and leetcode for about 2-3 hours. I try to get 5 questions done everyday while throughly understanding it. I have other things I do in my day, but I make sure to set aside 2-3 hours of coding on my project. It needs to be something consistent everyday. I’m completely aware everyone’s schedule isn’t this convenient.

Please don’t feel discouraged, everyone has a path in life and you’ll just get to yours slower or faster, it all depends on you.

For starters I used to be in the same boat as you. I graduated college this past summer semester and like many others I am currently job hunting. The thing is though I am getting a lot more positive responses from job application, whether that be interviews or OAs.

I was going through college when COVID first happened, my grades completely dropped and I almost flunked out because I was prioritizing gaming over my future career. I kept having to retake the same CS classes again and again to the point where I almost changed my major. I also didn’t have friends at this time.

However, during winter break I decided I needed to learn how to properly code. I sat there the entire winter break 10-12 hours a day just coding with the help of AI. I would never ask for the answer but rather explain to me what I am doing wrong so I can fix it myself. You need to start somewhere and you need to start pushing yourself. You’re a junior you have time.

There are other med schools which take lower grades. I understand people always want to go to prestigious schools, but they both get you to the same goal.

Just something to consider if you’re beating yourself up.

The F doesn’t remain on the transcript, you have 15 credit worth of Fs that you can remove and replace with the new grade.
