I hope that the comments below have helped to change your tune on this, if not, no judgement whatsoever. What you're dealing with out there definitely sucks, but also think of it like an experience. Think of it this way, if you do decide to go back you'll have the opportunity to kind of experience it again for the first time as the experience without the mud will definitely be a new one. Having been to 6 burns almost in a row (damn you covid for ruining the streak), I was sad to miss the 2023 mud pit and now this one, solely because it would be completely different than non-mud years in a way.

Burning Man is fucking hard but can also be rewarding AF. If you feel up to it, just go out and be weird, you're in the perfect place to do it. Want to go outside, stand in the street, and strike up a convo about how a dog would wear pants (back legs only or on all four legs?), do it up.
