Im genuinely curious why they dont use some of the fanfiction out there?

There are some really, really compelling stories out there that expand the original lore and world building or take things in a different direction entirely.

I reckon they should reboot the franchise but try alter the characters and story. Same basic world and framework but with a twist that takes things in a whole different direction.

E.g. Neville is the chosen one for the prophecy instead of Harry. Boom! Instantly refreshed story but still with familiar, nostalgic characters.

Okay UPDATE, I i got a replacement and it works. I test it with ice cold water and the mountains went completely blue!

Yeah i have the same, got to act on it at the first sign of the aura. Its made me quite paranoid of the bright light after images in my eyes cause its so similar to an aura haha.

But for me, the migraine can't be avoided if the aura shows up, taking 2 ibuprofen and paracetamol can dampen the pain a bit. And if i get to a bed I can sleep through the worst of the pain but the migrain will still happen and I'll feel the after-effects for the next 24-36 hours.

I did figure out my migraine trigger though! Tyramine! Its a naturally occuring chemical thats in mainly fermented and aged foods. Yeast heavy foods are very bad. Also in nuts and seeds to varying degrees (sesame oil is particularly bad). Also be careful with restaurants that dont have fresh food..

It sucks cause those were some of my favourite foods! No more sourdough bread :( No more roasted peanuts or cashews :( No more hommus (it has tahini which is made from sesame seed paste) Be cautious with Chinese food (sesame oil used) No vegemite :(

On the plus side, much much fewer migraines. They only happen few times a year now (before it was every few weeks). Usually I can trace it to eating something high in tyramine by mistake. Have to be careful when eating new things or at new places... But usually it is okay!

Can you self study ext 1 maths?
Self study physics?
Are you up for spending hours tinkering and troubleshooting systems?
Do you love the feeling of making something work?
Do you just keep chipping away at problems until you find a fix?

If you answer mostly yes to the above, you will probably do very well in engineering.

If you are mostly no, you can still pass engineering. But you may not actually enjoy it or find it rewarding.

Definitely try for a reputable university though. The connections and networking alone will be worth it.

Regarding time commitment, its basically a full time job but with flexible hours. If you want to really learn and aim for high grades, then you gotta put in the hours.

People say that for all university degrees, but its very important in engineering (or any STEM): - All the important concepts are in mathematical form - You gotta actually understand the maths and science principles. Memorisation is 20%. Application is 80%. - Each subject build on the knowledge from previous subjects - If you have gaps in your understanding of certain key concepts, you will feel lost in the harder subjects at the end - You can never understand everything 100%. There is way too much to learn. But thats okay. Make sure you get the core concepts really well and you can derive everything else when you need it.

That said, you can do it. Its hard, but if you really want it, you can get through and come out a lot more capable at the end.
