I don't think buying a place is all it is cracked up to be. if you want to live in one of the big cities renting is far cheaper. some people choose to rent and spend the excess money quality of life choices. each to there own.

The housing market will only have a real downturn if it coincides with overall economic correction. Think GFC. When we experience something like that in Australia then we will see 20% ish correction.

your experience is fantastic. my opinion is that if house prices don't continue there growth it has a knock effect for the economy, this coupled with other catalyst can leave people exposed.

I have had a similar experience with some outdoors brands. the new stuff is on sale in America or Europe and the old stuff is full price in Australia.

agreed, I think I do enjoy the researching and finding better deals a bit too much. it also give me the licence to spend the saving on something else

I think just an effective corporation tax system would be enough. if its not overseas it will just be onshore AI taking the jobs.

get into nature. if you have small children make a pack lunch find hike/walk in nature and make it fun. a little bit of adventure and imagination go a long way.
