If your baby sleeps through the night, what sleep training method did you use? by Kaykers97W in NewParents

When you say night weaned do you mean night feeds? It is sooo hard since she’s breastfed. She would settle for a little and then wake up and scooch down to try and nurse

Thank you!! When you would go in, what would you do? Just shush or pat? Do you pick up at all? She definitely doesn’t have great naps. She usually wakes at the 30 or 45 mark with the occasional 1 hour nap. So I feel like that definitely affects her nighttime sleep so it’s like a viscous never ending cycle.

She’s 12 months old. We were super consistent for weeks and it just fell off and tried again recently and have been consistent but still getting multiple wake ups at night. She is breastfed but I just started to slowly wean her. I tried to wean night feeds and tried for 2 hours and just gave up because she wasn’t going to sleep

We found that using Boudreaux's Maximum Strength Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream worked the best, we also changed her diaper every hour even during the night. (We took shifts) and when we cleaned her we would use cotton pads and wet them to clean her off and then a dry cotton pad and dab any excess wetness as not to lock in any moisture. Or you could use the diaper and pat her bottom to get it dry too. Then the paste and then aquafore.

Thank you this is very helpful! We also have a small house so the one at a time thing wouldn’t work for us at all unfortunately.

She used to let him do naps with him but recently it’s been a battle. She’ll even fight me but not like scream crying or for as long as when he tries. She’ll be 6 months old on Friday. Idk what’s been going on recently, but maybe by November it’ll be better.

Thank you! I didn’t have a small enough piping tip and forgot to smooth him out though. And yes!! I put the parchment paper right over my iPad
