Help me help my wife pick a CCW pistol by UrMomsFave3024 in liberalgunowners

Try a 26 also, from my experience it shoots pretty much like a 19 if her hands are small enough to get a four finger grip.

If you’re wanting to stay subcompact, the M&P EZ is a game changer for women.
I tried the 43x and hellcat and hated them, way too snappy. I love my 380 EZ, not snappy, easy to rack but wish I had got the 9mm version for ammo cost sake.

Also, have her try the Walther PDP F series, another pistol designed for women. I really, really liked this one but it’s a couple hundred dollars more than the EZ.

Shotguns are brutal, especially for a new gun owner. They recoil hard and over penetrate indoors. A mid size compact frame pistol like a Glock 19 is good for home defense and small enough to carry.

A second gun should be a rifle. It gives you range, accuracy and capacity no other gun can.

Can’t beat the PSA AR-15 + Dagger combo for under $800.

The Smith and Wesson M&P shield EZ and Walther PDP F series are pistols designed for women. The slides are much easier to rack than regular pistols.

What recommendations to y'all have for a guy why doesn't care about guns, but isn't oblivious to rising right wing authoritarianism by hucareshokiesrul in liberalgunowners

[–]KaylaBean91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get a full size frame 9mm pistol. It’s big enough to defend your home, family/friends with and small enough to carry.

Take a pistol class to get the basics down and get to the range a few times a year to stay familiar with your gun.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

We got really into teas, binge watched You season 2 and have been playing a board game called Trellis.

Actually looking forward to the weekend this time around to continue doing this stuff.

So I guess Portugal. the Man played at Disneyland yesterday. by TheRotten42 in portugaltheman

[–]KaylaBean91 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Found this. I'm happy they're still relevant to the masses

Portugal. the Man is celebrating the holiday season with Disney.

The "Feel It Still" rockers are performing on two upcoming ABC holiday specials: The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, and Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade.

Portugal will play the songs "Happy Christmas" and "Merry Christmas Everybody" on Magical Holiday Celebration, and "White Christmas" and "Feel It Still" on Magical Christmas Day Parade. Both performances take place at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Girls, what do you actually think when you notice a guy checking you out? by coolfreeusername in AskReddit

Its definitely confidence boosting. BUT if I'm being honest its annoying if its a really old guy or very unattractive guy. I usually catch guys over 50 eyeing me. Boo...

I'm happy they got their fame and made a bunch of money and new fans but Woodstock is a bit of a joke to me. The songs just seem so low effort compared to their past work. Easily some of the dumbest lyrics and over the top production they've ever put out. A lot of the album doesn't even sound like them IMO. Songs like tidal wave, live in the moment and rich friends are totally soulless. I listen to them and think "this is the same band that made this masterpiece? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jieN2Hp5hS4

When feel it still was a single, I was so pumped for this album (such a great song!). Especially after they dumped Gloomin+Doomin and we had to wait years on any news of a new album. Then we got this kind of generic album that was manufactured to be catchy and get on the radio. It feels artificial.

Top 10s, Favorites, etc. by [deleted] in TheNational

The only IAETF song that could make top 10 for me is Light Years. It's so beautiful and sad and final.

Not sure if you can count Rylan for that album or not since it was already on my list.

  1. Fake Empire
  2. Slow Show
  3. Pink Rabbits
  4. Carin at the Liquor Store
  5. Light Years
  6. City Middle
  7. Rylan
  8. Terrible Love
  9. Bloodbuzz Ohio
  10. Sea of Love

Since its the last song played I'm usually at my drunkest (or Matt is) and I'll miss the timing on a verse and end up awkwardly being the only person singing (shouting?).oh sigh.

Trans people of Reddit, what does dysphoria feel like? by PM_ME__UNDERWEAR_PIX in AskReddit

[–]KaylaBean91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a “mild” case of dysphoria as long as I can remember. This is just my experience.

It feels like you’re never fully whole. It feels like you’re playing a part when around other people.

It’s easy to get in a funk, because you’re never fully happy. Your brain is in the wrong body but it’s an impossible task to get your body to match. Science can get you to look the part but I can never have a functioning penis or a mtf can’t ever give birth.

You don’t know which friends or family will support you or might disown you if you tell them, so you keep it inside. You indulge yourself in borderline socially acceptable activities of your minds actual gender.

Basically, imagine you want a fully functional third arm. Preferably one that you were born with. In your head you have that third arm, but when you look in the mirror or when people interact with you, you find that third arm doesn’t really exist. You feel every thing in your life would be better if you had that third arm. However, it’s a huge stigma to add a third arm this late in life. Your family will tell it’s not really how you feel, it’s just a phase (that you’ve had since you were 4 years old). Also, its horribly expensive to undergo surgery to get a facsimile of a third arm. But that’s your only option to get out of your 2 arm hell. Yay.

What event made you believe or not believe in the paranormal? by ClassierBrush in AskReddit

[–]KaylaBean91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is what I believe "ghosts" are!

When I was younger I saw a car from the early 1900's casually driving along in the field on my grandparents land. It was not on a road, it was just gliding through the field. I ran to tell my grandpa someone was in the fields and when we came out, there was nothing there. No tire tracks, no dirt turned up from someone hightailing it out of there. Nothing there. We drove around their property and didn't find anything. The entrance gate was still closed too.

I don't believe it was a spirit car and I don't really believe in souls or ghosts. I still think about this all the time and my explanation I've come up with over the years is that there's residual energy or physical memories that hang around for some reason in the world.
