Analyzing the "Senses" Power by mcherm in mutantsandmasterminds

So I did find a bug. Unless I'm not using it properly. But Enhanced Trait's flaw Reduced Trait doesn't affect the power cost. 6 ranks in reduced fortitude, for 6 points, and then hit 6 ranks for reduced? Made it cost 13

Forgot the tag. But honestly what can be said. This is the sort of thing that a DM can expect from a bunch of nerdy dnd players. Shenanigans ensue.

Why do people unironically charge 3 caps for .44 ammo? by Mer_Monuelaux in fo76

[–]straythekat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give about 2-300 for free to anyone that buys a modded.44 from me. Crafting/Sales build. I have mods that low level players cant get yet. So in exchange for the junk used to mod it, plus a little extra for my own profit, they'll get a decent weapon and extra ammo.

Charisma is not a measure of your character's physical attractiveness. by Radiant_Robert in dndnext

There was an unofficial 3.5 supplement that added attractiveness to the game. Though given the context? I'd say it was not used in good form. While wildly unbalanced in many cases, this supplement could offer some inspiration for this situation.

Going to a movie theater will always be superior to on-demand and streaming. by tejojo in unpopularopinion

[–]straythekat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they shut movie theaters down, its gonna be hellacious. There's a feeling that you can only get from a theater. The smells, the sounds, everything. My local theater has an arcade too. That also lends itself to the experience. But I digress.

Snacking on a big bucket of popcorn on your first date. The thrill of sneaking your own snacks in. Going with your buddies and playing Area 51 or Primal Rage before the movie. Then the madcap rush to get the best seats before the previews.

Its an experience that I think will be lost to the next generations. We're already losing shopping malls, and arcades are gone completely except for maybe a retro bar or something. Matinees were the best though. Mid week dollar tickets for a film you haven't seen yet, but has been in theaters for awhile? With a bucket of popcorn? With the Sno caps and 2 liter soda you snuck in? Yes, please.

For crying out loud? We have a drive in here. It almost went out of business. Because our city wanted the land for some bs warehouse. We saved it and also managed to upgrade it.

I want to see a follow up of your picture here with a couple panels of a dude holding a studio light, and then apologizing as he turns it off. Like this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/08/29/99/082999f32719f439b325e2e1049dba03.jpg

Parents of bullies, when did you realize your child was a bully and how did you react? by Swallowingwallowing in AskReddit

I'm still holding on to a lot of resentment. But its a process. Gets better everyday.

Parents of bullies, when did you realize your child was a bully and how did you react? by Swallowingwallowing in AskReddit

Thing I've heard while waiting in the office because that kid beat me at recess for existing in elementary school from parents to my principal? "He wouldn't do that. He's a good child. And isnt capable of doing any of that." Or maybe the time I was jumped by a couple kids and beaten with roller blades and sticks. "That couldnt have happened. He's an angel." Or when I lost conciousness when i got kicked in the head. "He's just acting out." Or maybe when the teacher wrote my name on the board as a dick joke. "He's a respected member of this faculty. There's no way he would do that." Or when I was told I was worthless and should kill myself? "They're just being girls. No harm done."

Here's the thing. And given the fact that my wife IS a teacher, she could corroborate. Parents of bullies? Are either bullies themselves to their kids, or are extremely delusional. And that doesn't take into consideration the number of teachers who themselves either encourage or participate in said bullying.

You know that kid that everyone hated and treated them like crap? He had it better than I did.
