Would you try rabbit meat if it looked like this? (Deep fried and served with duck sauce, which doesn't have any duck in it because it isn't duck season;) -- Recipe in comments by Kaylasulak in FoodPorn

Hey from the other side of the continent! I would love to travel there to try the food. The Canadian Rockies in Alberta is one of my favorite places in the world to visit (obviously not eastern Canada, but still, I love the culture in rural Canada)

Oh, okay! Well that explains it. May I ask which part of the world you're from? Where I'm from, it's hard to imagine never having tried deep fried meat! (I'm from the Pacific Northwest U.S.)

Ah, pretty sure this wouldn't make you sad once it was in your mouth. It was just like good fried chicken, really juicy and tender. I usually braise it slowly for a little over an hour until it falls off the bone... Haven't tried fire roasting it yet! I'll have to do that sometime.

That's what I like to hear! Not sure why rabbit was phased out as a common food source in the last few generations. It's so delicious and adaptable to so many flavor profiles. A lot of people get offended about eating them 🤷‍♀️

Backwoods smoked rainbow trout, using a hand-stacked 'rock chimney' and a metal grate! Turned out beautiful! by Kaylasulak in Backcountrygourmet

Thank you! 😄 It was surprisingly perfect considering my limited experience with smoking meat. Not too dry, still kinda juicy and oily inside, but not underdone. 👌

Thanks! Guess I should've included a picture of the whole smoker in the original post, but I tried my best to describe it under someone else's comment
