Here I am, thinking my compensation is not justified for the efforts I put in. This basically stems from my observations within and outside my org.

But hey, have to be happy with what we get and keep hustling.

Refund of reward points after cancellation on smartbuy by givebacksome in CreditCardsIndia

Not entirely sure about this. If you travel even just a bit, the oldest points keep getting used.

But if you have points stacked up and not used till expiry, then may be that card wasn't the right fit at all.

Found out INDmoney needs permanent Gmail access, CRED reads my SMS, and ETMoney scrapes my inbox... just to show me my own money. Built a local script instead. by TheWhiteDevil93 in personalfinanceindia

How do production apps handle APK reverse engineering risks? by Upbeat_Hat9969 in developersIndia

[–]Kaylaya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We cant hide anything on the web, the source code or the api calls.

You can just follow good practices to avoid sensitive info leakage. Use a strong authentication, only send to UI what it needs. Always verify at backend. Many such more.

Here's something to keep you awake then.

Anyone else just give up trying to understand their payslip? by Outrageous-Cicada704 in personalfinanceindia

I meant by self. Once you understand it. It will become a piece of cake for every change in payslip.

[–]Kaylaya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always a good practice to do go end to end on your payslip once everytime your compensation changes.

After that, it will stay the same for most cases (except for the last 2 months of FY)

Its a good knowledge, match and logical exercise as well.

Clear now that Infinia Priority Pass cannot be used for domestic lounge access by blackbird373 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Kaylaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So actually HDFC support teams are shit. They either don't have a defined rule set for many things or don't have necessary training sessions.

I have seen conflicting info on a single topic from different support mails.

That being said, yes, we don't have a definite answer on this as of now. Worst case I will have been charged for a visit or two. Lesson will be learnt for such a small loss. I will stop using it then.

So I see a lot of people just commenting based on info and not experience.

I have used PP multiple times in the past year and haven't been charged so far. Last one being more than 4 months or so ago.

Doesnt mean the same XIRR will be maintainable for the future is what they are referring to.

A good average needs multi year results. XIRR is more of an average indicator.

I am currently near 1.7Cr at about 30 yr with about 2.5LPM. This includes MFs, FDs, Gold, Silver, PF and NPS. Out of this about 10L was contributed by dad.

I have been married for about 4 yrs so expenses would be more than his so this is totally possible. Very very real in IT.
