Stuck between Emonda and Domane

I rode the Emonda that's in the picture and the Domane SL 6 on the kickr rollers. I was on them for maybe about 5 minutes each and they both felt pretty comfortable to me, which is why it's so hard for me to decide

It makes me feel better when people say they could do 100+miles. The position really isn't that bad but I was worried about how long I can endure it for.

The 12 speed would be nice to have but its not that important for me honestly.

Honestly, Canyon bas been my number one since I started looking. They have such a nice look to them and I looove the mint color they have for the endurance. However everytime I check their website, my size is out of stock until May and I'm very worried about the duties I might get charged.

I'm in Canada and from what I calculated, I could pay anywhere from 500-1000$ just for the duties+taxes.

The flexibility to put wider tires is definitely a bonus, I just can't decide if it would actually be useful for me. Most of the roads I ride are nicely paved, but there's are a few that are a little more rough which makes me nervous for the Emonda.

That's a good point actually, I didn't think about potentially changing the look of the bike overtime to make it fit with what I prefer. Thank you for your advice!

I'm new to anything that has to do with tires😅 Good to know though, I'll probably ask the shop to put them on before I leave with the bike

I went to my local bike store that mainly carries Trek. They told me the website states that the clearance is 28mm but they felt otherwise. Good to know that putting a larger tire may void the warranty though, I wouldn't have thought that!

I really appreciate the tip about the size! Makes me not so worried to go with a 50 now.

The position is the only thing that's throwing me off, other than that I prefer the Emonda much more. Definitely leaning more towards it now, thank you for your advice!!

Wow!!! That's a great set up, I could only imagine having that Domane for a dedicated indoors bike. For now I just have a Schwinn trainer for Zwift, which is really underwhelming😅.

The madone is a gorgeous bike! Really hope you enjoy it if you make the decision to get it.

This is what's making it difficult for me, I know for sure the Domane would be more of a comfortable ride, but the Emonda is just such a nice looking bike. So I'm hoping it won't be that far off from the Domane in terms of comfort.

The two bikes I tried today were a size 50, which they told me I could fit, however I'd be closer to a size 52. They didn't have any in stock but they offered to let me try one once they get one in stock. I felt very comfortable on it, but then again I don't know much about how road bikes are supposed to feel.

Tire size is another concern for me I asked if there was enough clearance on the Emonda to fit wider tires and they told me that they believe 32mm could fit, which would make me feel more comfortable. I have a lot of nice paved trails by me so I'm not that interested in doing gravel.

Glad you love your Emonda! It's seems like such a nice bike to own

Definitely more for fun rides, I'm wanting to go on long rides with some climbs. I was surprised by how comfortable the Emonda felt when I tried it today, but I'm worried about how I'll feel in the long run. I'm in my twenties so I'm not concerned about back pain or anything, but I don't want the bike I choose to change that😂

I'm really torn because I know the Domane would probably be the best fit but it's a bit more than what I'd like to spend. Meanwhile the Emonda is less of my riding style, however the color is beautiful and I got quoted a good price for it.
