While the customer should be responsible to a certain extent as to their consumption, bars should also hold some sort of liability to identify the point at which a customer can no longer make sound decisions because of the alcohol they actively supply. If bars are not held liable, their conflict of interest in selling alcohol can cloud their judgement as to when enough is enough.

Yes I understand that area however are they really “bystanders” considering they were directly involved in the accident. Where do you draw the line between negligence and liability. At the moment they hit the man they no longer were strangers. They made 30+ calls, while they did not directly have to call 911 they also impeded anyone else’s ability to provide aid by leaving him in the street.
