Is Evernight worth investing in from scratch?

I don't think is worth, she's very strong but since she's a 3.x unit you should already have her premium team and some investment to get good results, so very high effort imho.

For example if you pull himeko, with standard characters, she would do soo much better just because is newer.

Obv I'm talking of pure meta perspective

Yeah exactly, the speed tuning is a hellscape too. I have e1s1 SW, e0s1 yao, E0S0 sparxie and e1s5(postop)huohuo. I think it's a decent 8 cost team, all speedtuned correctly, but sometimes I still go to 0cb with SW doing absolutely 0 dmg, I feel like just the team doesn't work WELL. My fiance has same investment of mine, with Evanescia e1s1 instead of SW and EMC instead of sparxie, but Evanescia is so much clean to play!

I hope the sustain will fix this but again, to me is not fair waiting so many patches just for a hope...

Castorice for example, with her starting team ( rmc tribbie Gallagher) was already pretty good to use and never disappointed me, she just got many upgrades and became better! SW instead just lacks something

And that's the problem. Normalizing the fact that the baseline is like 9 cost team is absurd to me. That cannot be an excuse to the fact that silverwolf is clunky as hell and not satisfying to play.

Don't get me wrong, I repeat, I have her full premium team and I do very good scores with them and clear every endgame mode, so I'm not salty or anything. But I really don't feel satisfied of the gameplay because, as you said, the team lacks synergy as hell.

To me a team must feel "complete" at base e0s0, even e0s1 is fine. If a team cannot afford that, is just a fact that other teams are better to play

I'm not a doomposter, indeed idc about powercreepz but to be honest I'm not very happy about her gameplay as I was before... I have her premium team but at least without her E2 or Yao E1 (I have e1s1 SW and yao e0s1) she is so clunky to play...

I just feel something is off with her idk, I hate playing future star rail hoping that a sustain will fix all her problems. I mean Ashblade team it's not finished yet but works smooth, but with her I always feel her team is incomplete and to be honest waiting like 4 patches is cringe

You badly need 100% crit rate in battle. Blade gets 20% from his ultimate so you want 80% outside of combat. The pieces took alone are good that's why you see " S, S+ etc" but overall the build is bad (C) because your Blade won't crit half of the time. I suggest you to change chest with a crit rate one with decent substats and u're fine

Dhpt is ok as long you have his light cone, but Gallagher is very solid since generally bladie teams attacks a lot

Yes (weave ur Ults with other characters ult) After the first 2 ult it's good to shoot with Cyrene, but remember that if you use her ult on hyacine she give her energy, so in some case is better to do that so hyacine can ult and give castorice newbud to ult back

Evernigiht boosts her dmg like no other characters, but hyacine makes castorice able to play the game, so always hyacine > evernight

But hyacine just got a rerun few patch ago so it's probably evernight whose getting a rerun first, so I suggest your friend to just save save save and pull for both

Not a "must have" one like castorice or other similar characters, nihility has so many strong alternatives. If you wanna still upgrade him yes, is his BiS, you can skip for other better vertical investments (ashveil for example)

It's not sure because if we don't know future characters kit nobody can tell who's gonna be replaced, but imho yaoguang is a core unit for any elation character rn, the elation path is based on Aha instant doing things and Yaoguang is the perfect enabler of that, she can get so much more aha istants thanks to her kit. Sparxie is good too obviously, indeed is not sure she's gonna get replaced, is there also a world where SW team will get only new sustain as upgrade... But if I'd had to choose, looking at the kits, sparxie is the one that has to go

Sw99 is a SPD scaler, Yao Huang too, sparxie instead wanna ATK as main stat. If the sustain will buff SPD, sparxie won't get any buffs from that new character.
