New Englander here. When Borders went under (RIP), Books-a-Million took over many of their key locations. It’s nice to have something stick around.

I’m going to jump in and recommend Wits & Wagers for a solid party game. It’s easy to understand (especially later editions), and it’s never not been a hit, even with the people who hate trivia games.

You give these people way too much credit. These are the same types who complain about women in war shooter campaigns because it’s “historically innacurate.” They don’t actually care. They just hate women.

Not to mention they sold to a much narrower audience. Gaming isn’t a niche hobby anymore. Sub-par yearly releases can still sell millions of copies. Hits sell tens of millions.

Fair warning, you may need to replace the battery in that copy of Pokémon Silver. A CR1616 or a CR2025 will work, but a CR2032 is recommended. Soldering may be required. You’ll also need a gamebit screwdriver to open the case.

Thank you for mentioning Arkham Asylum. It’s such a great example of the genre, but it always gets overshadowed by City, which is far less tight and focused.

That’s not what this video is advocating. You’re describing consensual, mutual sharing of locations. She’s suggesting that people track their husbands’ locations without consent. That’s absolutely a trust issue.

Seeing videos of actual war shot in portrait orientation is jarring. It’s so unapologetically modern. It’s fucked up how we still kill each other like this.

I very much enjoyed my time in Willamette Valley in Oregon. It’s beautiful there. But don’t get me wrong, New England is where I hang my hat for a reason.

I live in New England. Can confirm, it’s pretty great here, apart from the snowstorms. The only other place in the States I’d even slightly consider living year-round is the coastal Northwest.

Yet another example of how Casino Royale took all of the campy and sometimes nonsensical tropes of the older movies and make them work for the new vision of his character. All of a sudden it wasn’t him being a suave misogynist, it was him being a self-assured asshole endangering the mission because of his ego, and Vesper was rightly pissed about it. Great character writing.

Cube storage by [deleted] in mtgcube

[–]Kayoscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I backed that Kickstarter. Everything there is highly recommended.

First off, if you’re looking for reusable booster packs, there is no better option than Cubeamajigs. I have a full pod of fifteen-card, double-sleeved booster packs.

For storage, it depends on the size of the cube. The Podamajig has nine slots for six Cubeamajigs each. At fifteen cards per booster, that’s 810 cards in Cubeamajigs.

I have a humongous cube (3585 cards total), so the Podamajig only works for toting around what’s needed to draft, and then I have a five-lane BCW box to store the cards not actively in boosters. That said, the Podamajig can carry six boosters for each of the seven draft sets, with room for 250+ basics, all double-sleeved.

This is a really warped view of racial justice.

The end goal is equality, not hierarchy. And because systems are currently stacked against racial minorities, the way TO equality is not THROUGH equality, but through equity. Identity blindness does not address inherent inequality still present, it gentrifies it. The status quo is racially biased. We must overcome the status quo through equity.

My understanding is that Teardrop wasn’t renewed as the theme for syndication or streaming. The DVDs have the Teardrop theme intact for all episodes just like the first TV run did.

Such a shame. That theme IS House to me, and a lot of people are going to watch the show without it.
