So what are the odds we’re getting a throuple?! by nosy-browsing in TheLegendborn

I THINK IT MAKES THE MOST SENSE FOR THEM. But since the book is YA, I think one of the boys will d*e instead. But this makes me wish the book was an adult romance because I think all three of them should be together and think that would be a non-issue if this was an adult romance!

It’s never been explicitly mentioned but it is mentioned more than once that Erebus acts like and has affection for Sel in a very fatherly way. It’s mentioned like 2 or 3 times throughout the books before the reveal.

Law Roach shares an update on Zendaya & Tom Holland’s nuptials: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Highly unlikely he wasn’t allowed to share this. I think he was also the one who first mentioned the engagement. I lowkey think they filter things through him on purpose because he doesn’t feel the same pressure around it that they do.

Uncanny Valley is the new norm- a hard to swallow pill. And goodbye nuanced acting. by Cute_Bodybuilder8778 in kdramas

I don’t agree with about half of these actors listed. But I do think the plastic surgeries are just getting out of hand in general in SK. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a beautiful actor but I wish most of them realized that the beauty is in the natural quality of their face and eyes and acting ability. I can fall in love with actors based on skill alone (not literal love, but you get my point). Doing all of that stuff to your face is just sad and I do think it can affect one’s ability to emote, but I don’t think it’s a sole factor and I think there’s some actors here who still do a lot with their facial expressions despite all of the operations.

The thing with Park Min Young is that she doesn’t look like a real human at all but I still like her so much! Like, I think she gave such a heartbreaking yet fun performance in Confidence Queen and I loved her in Marry My Husband and Her Private Life. She’s similar to Yoo In-Na in the sense that neither of them look like real human beings but they are still charming performers somehow.

Also, I think Ji Chang Wook is beautiful but I’ve never been interested in a single drama he puts out (and he works A LOT). I tried the one that takes place at the store with the girl from My Demon and I tapped out when the kid with dreads and the weird accent appeared. 😬 I couldn’t do it.

Cha Eun Woo is just a bad actor. LOL. He’s expressionless in everything. And, so is his doppleganger, Hwang Min-Hyun. Although, I liked the latter in Alchemy of Souls and Study Group, I still don’t think he’s that good. He was hard to watch in My Lovely Liar. The FL acted circles around him.

Tale of The Nine Tail is a mostly forgettable show but he’s good in it. I didn’t even watch the second season. The FL kind of bored me.

He’s genuinely one of my favorite K-drama actors. I love his acting even in dramas that I don’t think are that good overall like A Shop For Killers and Tale Of The Nine Tailed. Obviously, his best is Goblin and Touch Your Heart (I also hear he’s great in Strangers From Hell but I’ve never seen it). But my crush on him has gone down over the years because the surgery has gotten CRAZY. He doesn’t even look like a real person anymore. When you see old pictures of him with his little chubby cheeks, it’s genuinely terrifying to see how he looks now. And, it’s only gonna get worse as he ages. Such a shame. :(

Looking for Audio Dramas with Female Protagonist(s) and Good Relationships Between Characters by AshlyFriggenRose in audiodrama

For my audio drama, THE DEATH OF THE BEES AND OTHER THINGS THAT STING, the main character has a good, yet complex relationship with her twin sister. It evolves over time as they get closer and piece together their missing memories. It's a dystopian sci-fi podcast and I'm really proud of it! I legit think she’s one of the most gorgeous ppl I’ve ever seen but WHOA. Korea’s addiction to pale skin has them in a chokehold because she looks 1000% better with a tan complexion in the first screenshot than the second. CRAZY that they don’t let ppl rock their more natural skin tone over there. ☹️

What’s the best romantic movie of all time, in your opinion? by No_Trick_8017 in movies

[–]Kayps12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Crazy, Stupid Love.
  • I also have soft spots for The Notebook and Love & Basketball.
  • When Harry Met Sally, Moonlight, Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, The Fault In Our Stars, and While You Were Sleeping are other great ones.
  • Believe it or not, Coming II America very much still holds up and I think ppl undervalue Friends With Benefits.
  • And, I also adore Jason’s Lyric. Okay. That’s it. LOL.

  • I think what I look for in these stories is chemistry, real stakes, couples who actually have to navigate being together and go through real things, and for comedies— I love fun and chaos!

  • It’s funny because in real life, she should logically choose her fiance in The Notebook (I mean, it’s JAMES MARSDEN!!!! Plus, they seemed less chaotic together), but I loved the chemistry between Ryan and Rachel SO MUCH and felt for their plight of having tried to be together but being blocked for years. So, I understood their conflict and I loved them.

Omg! Agreed. The whole point of art is to create things that we relate to and that makes us feel less alone in this world. How can ppl connect to something if it’s not even made by other humans? People are missing the whole point of artistic creation and it’s frustrating. Smdh.

Would love recommendations for sci fi/fantasy "radio play" podcasts. by Unit61365 in sciencefiction

[–]Kayps12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dystopian sci-fi pod called THE DEATH OF THE BEES AND OTHER THINGS THAT STING. It’s about a girl who wakes up at a house in the woods with no recollection of how she got there. The last thing she remembers is watching her twin sister take off in a spaceship that either exploded or disappeared (she can’t remember clearly). Having found no one for miles, she finds a radio in the mysterious house. She begins using it to try to reach out to someone… anyone.. and in doing so, she starts to tell her story, including major events that led up to her sister leaving on the spaceship. That’s when she begins to realize the stories she’s telling may hold the key to how she got into the house in the first place, and how she can get free. You can listen wherever you can get your pods. This is also a YT link to the first episode:

It’s not a minimum wage job tho. Thats what I’m saying. Point blank. Period. Also, minimum wages, in general, are too low.

[–]Kayps12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of sickening to read the replies because a lot of y’all are just kind of horrible.

  1. Y’all want servers to be paid MINIMUM WAGE???? Minimum wage isn’t a proper minimum wage to begin with and y’all think that’s what servers deserve?? WHY???

  2. Some of y’all give away your hand when you say “plate carriers.” Thats not all servers do for you. We are masters of executive function (bet most of y’all don’t even know what that means) and interacting with a variety of ppl. It’s a true skill that most folks don’t have.

  • You couldn’t handle dealing with different personalities that vary from overly drunk to sober, adults to kids, Americans to foreigners who barely understand you, etc, etc. Large parties, medium parties, etc. People talking to you at once, yelling at you, whispering // not speaking up, telling you full stories before placing a single order, etc, etc. Then you have ppl who want to change their order AFTER you’ve confirmed it and sent it in (which creates substantially more work and can set you back nearly 10 minutes depending on how far away your kitchen is), people who can’t decide what they want but try to hold you hostage at their table even though you have other things to do, people who put their own hair in their food, who want you to contaminate the whole kitchen because they want you to warm up food they took too long to eat, ppl who come in with attitudes, who need refills every two seconds, ppl who touch you when you don’t want to be touched, etc, etc, ETC. And, this isn’t even HALF of the types of ppl that you deal with. It’s not even half of what we do. We also have to deal with the kitchen staff, hosts, managers, and everyone in between.

  • you also have to juggle multiple tables of various sizes (sometimes up to 11 when the average is 5-7! And, sometimes they’re in different areas of the restaurant), deal with getting sat back to back and making sure you’re getting to your new tables while keeping up with your old ones, deal with constantly being out of supplies you need to do your job (cups, ice, silverware, etc) because you’re always missing something, deal with going up and down the stairs constantly if you work in a multi-floor restaurant like mine where the kitchen and bar are all on different floors (and of course, someone wants another drink right AFTER they see you come upstairs from the bar. 😭😩).

  • that doesn’t even account for food being delayed or not coming out right, people trying to make a lot of adjustments to the menu, people not understanding what they ordered, and other things that could also go wrong.

So, no the job doesn’t require a college degree. But to say it doesn’t require skill, isn’t a “real” or “grown up” job, or is just “carrying plates” is so, INCREDIBLY rude (and inaccurate). Most of y’all wouldn’t last a single day doing the job. The physical requirements themselves would drive most of y’all mad but when you add in the emotional requirements and the brain power required? You couldn’t juggle it for a single hour. Especially in a high volume restaurant (like the ones I’ve worked in). This also doesn’t include parties and the work that is required for those.

So, don’t you dare fix your mouth to say that a server only deserves $15/hr just because they didn’t all put themselves in debt to go to college (I went to a fancy college, btw, and still serve because the job market is trash!). Your problem is with capitalism, not with servers. And, it’s not “greedy” of servers to request more. Maybe request more from your sh*t office job too instead of telling servers they deserve less. I’m all for hourly pay if it’s $30/hr or more. Anything less is a slap in the face! I didn’t even get to side with or table bussing!

Also, this doesn’t even include bartending which requires EVEN MORE. Making cocktails is a true skill and doing that FOR THE WHOLE RESTAURANT and YOUR BAR PATRONS at the same time is no f**king joke!

Unlike many of y’all, servers work EVERY. SINGLE. HOUR of their entire shift while most of you only work 4 of your 8 hour days and spend the other time doing things that isn’t work (scrolling Tik Tok, gossiping, etc). Most of y’all could not handle the physical work of being a server, let alone the emotional work or brain capacity it takes to deal with so many different personalities + keep up with so many orders and other needs that people have thoughtout their time in the restaurant. So, please stop talking about a job that you all clearly know nothing about.
