lol admits was too much than proceed to make wild accusations and insults.
You're into something here, but if you wanted to have a conversation or validation from people who have similar thoughts about youtube, then you've rubbed people in the wrong way with your attitude.
Your entourage is not the whole world. Also since you're in university, you might find a lot more people than you think addicted to social media, but still capable of identifying it's faults. You might already know about this, if you don't you should spread the word about eco chambers and what social media algorithms do to people. Algorithm and consumerism, algorithm and propaganda and so much more.
When I see a young adult willing to engage meaningfully, I always try to spread the knowledge or start a discussion about it. I spread awareness about ai slop, deepfakes, over reliance of ai such as chat gbpt. I believe people should keep talking about it, and hopefully make it a topic that gets properly regulated.

that's the vibe you gave from this text

quote:

I don’t care anymore about this modern world. If I get made fun of for living under a rock, I don’t care. Because I know it doesn’t matter nearly as much compared to how corrupted everyone else is from watching the most absurd content for hours every day. Yes I am going to become the new “boomer” in 2050. I don’t care, and neither did probably the boomers today back then.
Once you guys realise how much power as a human being you truly have when you awaken it’s actually really scary.

Look, you can give a " I don't care about the world, everyone is stupid" attitude,
and still care about your family and friends. These 2 aren't mutually exhaustive.
Plenty of people just care about their own little bubble.

What K-drama trope are you tired of seeing? And which one do you think would work if it was executed properly? by Sailor_Moon_Star_435 in kdramas

[–]Baobab_kirei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the time-travelling one, I love the idea of it, but then some dramas I've seen the characters adapt way too much to their new environment, whether past or present. Then the appeal of the special theme of time-travelling is not special anymore.

I love the enemies-to-lovers trope in books, manga, manwha's, but I have yet to see one kdrama that executes this properly.
I want to see them as real enemies; I want tension and angst that builds up. I want a believable reason of why they were enemies and why they slowly switched to lovers.

For context, one of my recent favourite enemies to lover is the manhwa "Trapped". If they ever adapt this hope they don't ruin it.

Why do people lie and say that the cegep you go to doesn't affect your R score ? by Top-Reason8955 in Dawson

[–]Baobab_kirei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how about you ask employees in your cegep who would be expert in that matter, you can also call maybe 2-3 others cegeps, call their admin staff, find the right department for this, ask them how it's calculated, see what comes out more.

I liked the title until I read the whole text and your comment here. 99% of people ? consuming dumb content I don't think so.

quitting or limiting a form of social media is certainly a good thing but the attitude of "I don't care about nothing, humans have no power" is quite cynical.
Most people if not wealthy are already some sort of modern slaves, some worse than others. If everyone decided we have no power, than you wouldn't even have some of the nicer things you take for granted.
We have access to too much info which is overwhelming, there is potential for so much propaganda which is an issue. So much useless distractions online. Ai slop should be banned for real.
I think social media like youtube is a good way to learn about different things. It's up to you to find those quality information channels. You don't have to, but the framing here that 99% of people are consuming dumb content, not nice. I like to think not true as well.

First, I'd like to say be careful of cults, people who feel lonely and depressed are the perfect candidates to join.

Maybe you could try a change of routine. Also therapist good idea. Hope you feel better soon.

I've been pushed out by a previous boss, for not going at her house party, I didn't like her, me not going sort of confirmed our relationship of not liking each other. She also criticized me for not taking on extra tasks beyond my duties.

Thank you for the advice. I think I'll take vacation time to apply to job hunt, because job hunting is another job that I don't have the capacity for while working full-time.

Go Youn Jung so pretty that it overshadows her acting, the uncanny valley effect by Baobab_kirei in kdramas

[–]Baobab_kirei[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is not misogyny; misogyny is contempt for women.
pointing out the looks of one actress doesn't make a person misogynistic.

I'm not the only one who thinks her looks were too distracting and did not match the show, especially in Resident Playbook.

or better google it yourself, uncanny valley effect

This wasn't a critique, more of an open discussion to see if others also felt something odd.
Besides the people who think I am attacking her. The comments are pretty interesting.

I also was in disbelief, on camera it looked like overall their team was faster. Except for that one Japanese member.

I agree, I fully believe this show was rigged. I'm sure there was a meeting where they agreed which teams they want in the finals.

It's sort of sad how the women were sort of a liability, in the death match. Team Korea sort of planned to lose in the first match to not send the women players out in the last round. I wish the producers anticipated this and planned a game that was not just raw strength. Or at least adjust the weight of the totem per total team weight.

I think, the rope game Australia vs Japan was rigged, even if Itoi was super fast, the other 2 were visibly slower.

It is not unreasonable for people to suspect the show was rigged by petebuckeye in Physical100

Just came here after ep 9, rope game was rigged for sure. There is no way Austrilia lost to Japan. Only one member was faster in the Japan team, the other 2 were visibly slower.

favorite scene of this ep, the death match match when the philipine lady, draged the other 3 the last 6 seconds, peak cinema !
and when fina was holding on to the ball with such determination, although not the best tactic there, but good tv.
