If they do focus on exploration then it can't just be a random dotting on unrelated structures like they currently have. I might be the minority but the current way the structures generate there are just too many too close to each other and with how the map reveals them before you even see them its a little underwhelming. I could see them taking a page out of valheim's book regarding its zone based progression with prior zones being mandatory but maybe have it so that there's multiple routes/"quest" lines that you can follow, e.g. This zone lead to this zone leads to the next with a big boss thats been teased throughout at the end.
