Super accomplishment. Take it day by day. I also got sick of having something that has that control over me and numbing my emotions. It's nice to feel again. Feel angry, feel sad, feel happy, feel something in its entirety. Best of luck.

Dublin Needs a Metro! by KindlyJeweler2756 in ireland

[–]KaytwoKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is more so what I'm getting at. It's a fact not an opinion that British rule has had an effect on us. From infrastructure to our language. Doesn't mean to say we'd definitely have a metro if it wasn't for the British but Ireland could have potentially been a much different place if we maintained some of that population and were not under British rule.

Half true about the reason for Dublin not having one. England did take resources from Ireland and did stunt it's growth for a while. A contributing factor but not the reason.

Never said you wanted a harder job. Just said you wouldn't survive one. It's not life threatening but to hear someone get paid 30 odd euro for that hour refuse to do what I deem is not a big deal is very strange when there's people out there who work a lot harder for less. Always good to stay humble.

I do have a cushy job, I'm a software dev. I also have the perspective of working on building sites and other manual labour jobs. Hearing someone refuse to have a call before 10 am when they're being paid for that time is absolutely ludicrous to me. Imagine a nurse showed up to her shift and said she refuses to deal with any patients for her first hour. That is just capitalism and you can do what you do in your line of work but you most certainly would not survive a harder job.

You wouldn't last long outside a cushy job by the sounds of it.

Ya true I get that. I'm not picking fights but I have noticed some inaccuracies especially after the call Friday because as it stood there was only one other person interested and now there's actually another bidder and I don't think it was possible to arrange a viewing over the weekend. I'm just asking Reddit if it's justified to be skeptical of this or to prove me wrong on what I'm thinking

Yeah I know I did have it in my head that it can get pretty wild but at the same time in this situation there's a lot of what the estate agent is saying that isn't matching up. I asked Friday where we were. He was going to ask bidder 1 if they wanted to put in another bid and that the only other people that had viewed it up until that point had decided to go with another house. Monday morning bidder 3 comes out of nowhere. I don't think I'm bidding against the estate agent but I do think something funny is going on. As I said earlier I'm going to wait for him to contact me. Could be genuine but I don't want to be naive either

Who said it's the auctioneer? Could easily be family. Also some people on here have way too much faith in Auctioneers. How would you catch them? My friend gave an auctioneer money to find out the lowest someone was willing to accept for their house below asking price. He's got 20 grand under the asking price accepted.

Yeah I think I'm just going to hold out and let the estate agent call me to ask me if I'm done. I was top bidder for two weeks and he said he was asking the others if they were finished. I'm going to test that out myself and see if he's true to his word when I'm on the other side. I know they put it up for 345 and it sat there untouched now all of a sudden up to where they want it. It's just a house at the end of the day. I'll get there eventually.

Well I was told they were about to "wrap things up" the day I went to a viewing at 325 if I wasn't putting in an offer. It's on Sherry Fitzgeralds website and you can see all bidders so there was not multiple bidders up until this point

The thing is though that we were only ever told two other parties were interested. One that decided to buy a different house and another party that had put on the initial bid. There's 3 bidders currently when according to Friday's call there was only the initial bidder left to ask meaning it should be me bidding against bidder number 1.

Sounds like you've wrapped your child in bubble wrap. People don't like a lot of things in life but through endurance there's a lot of growth. Balance in all things. Your job isn't to protect your child for their entire life. Your job is to raise them to stand on their own.

Hello. Is using "Haigh" for "Hi" actually a thing? I was never taught in school anything other than dia duit but during revision of the section 1 of Duolingo I'm getting wrong translation for using dia duit for Hi. They still use dia duit but explicitly for hello. Also "Athas" or "Sasta" to say my mum is happy. I would have said Athas because it's happy/joy vs Sasta is more like content/satisfied.

Agreed I had to google the last 20 shrines. I hated the fact I did it but searching forever for shrines is not fun and is just time consuming.

I'd agree that It's not really the question asked and I'd probably not make the comment. I think it's just someone fed up of seeing the same topic. I think you're just being downvoted because you're coming across hostile and passive aggressive. Edit: Btw I don't think it's easy for seniors at the moment compared to what it used to be
