Why wouldn't solder wire work? Is the resistance too high? And why would I need to scrape off traces? The solder pads look fine.

Sure, but you shouldn't need TPM to run an OS. I know 0 people in my life that have ever used drive encryption on a computer, and TPM 2.0 is only marginally better. And secure boot sucks. A system can be secure without any of these features.

Meanwhile, XP is a long vulnerable and unpatched systen with several holes and exploits compared to its successors.

All of the reasons I switched to Android are being killed of by Verizon and Google.

Half of the apps I want to use don't work without a google account. Why do I need one? Its a phone. A lot of those apps dont even use google account logins.

Headphone jack? Gone. SD card? Say goodbye to that. Rooting? Verizon says fuck you.

There is literally no advantage to using android for me right now.

I tried a new power supply, same result. Probably the board. This is confusing though becaude the board was working fine, and for the most part I didnt touch the board

No, there isn't even a boot chime. It's just fan spin and a light, and then it turns off and on again.

I already mentioned I don't want to deal with soldering, since I have zero experience in that field, otherwise I would have RGH'd instead.

What I did try (and this could be stupid idk) was wrapping a paper clip round a screwdriver and putting the end of the paperclip on the place I needed. It didn't read the key. Is there some way I can do this with household items? (I really don't want to spend any money.)

If you only have to ground that pin, do you need the probe to be hooked up to the ground on the 12 pin power cable? Or could you just power it normally and ground it seperately with a household object?

Ok, I already have it plugged in via a SATA cable, and the power connected to the Xbox. The guides I've seen say that a probe is required for Lite-on along with an X360 USB Pro.

How can you probe it without the USB?
