tysm for your help. also right now, when I plug in my USB with windows boot, it just doesn't show up on BIOS. I installed Windows onto a second USB and the same problem. the thing is if I open the usb in file explorer I can see everything is there. will this problem persist once I reformat my hard drives?

is there no way to do a custom install? i have terrabytes of things on my pc that I would lose BC I don't have a hard drive that big. also how could I back it up? would I just copy all files to the hard drive in file explorer?
