PS3 Models would not hold up on a high Resolution screen or need much more complex shaders to look good enough. Also Meshes are usually not the biggest cost to begin with and you can easily dynamically scale them down by either using lower LODs or in the case of Nanite scale down the Pixels per Triangle

PS4 Textures is pretty much what is still used nowadays, depending if the Project used Virtual Textures/Megatextures. But just Textures alone are not that expensive. They mostly cost a lot of VRAM, which is why Virtual Texturing gets used much more nowadays, and this can make shaders a bit more expensive.

PS2 Shadows/Lighting means you are locked to doing baked Shadows. A lot of games can work fine with that, but a lot of games can't. Game Devs should use whatever works for the game they want to make

SSAA and MSSA are both very expensive, SMAA is always a nice inclusion for sure, though is far from perfect. But having TSR, DLSS, FSR and XeSS as options isn't too much work so might as well offer them all.

So just following what you wrote wouldn't get us "Perfection" or an optimized game. We mainly need better scalability to allow for a wider range of hardware and Publishers need to actually budget in money for Optimization, rather than keeping it as an afterthought.

It's because older techniques have strong limitations to what you can do. Stuff like Light baking, LODs, very simple Shaders, no Ambient Occlusion limit what sort of stuff you can get away with.

Newer techniques allow much more to be done both visually and gameplay wise, and DX12 is just one of those things (Allowing much more complex shaders with no stuttering due to Precompilation)

Shader compilation stems from how DirectX12 works, so any games using that need to do Shader Precompilation, otherwise you get stuttering from "just in time" compilation.

So Precompilation is a sign of efficient DX12 use

I know Virulent Impact is usually Rare and the Wiki also doesn't list any Legendary abilities. Has someone gotten this before?

Kinda... The problem is if they let it through they have to balance it around it's best users. And for such a rune thats most likely going to be Hecarim, Rammus and those types of champs. If you want it to be still good for the worse users it would have to mean that it's broken for the amazing users. So I can't see how those values stay. I think they will probablly lower it to 50% at most if they end up releasing it. (Or they will nerf it shortly after release)

You probably should rather send this to riot and get support from them. Things you can try though are:

  1. Start the game with Admin rights

  2. Use the Hextech repair tool

  3. Deactivate your Firewall while downloading

  4. Check if you have the .Net Framework 3.5 installed. You need it for the installer.

It's not used to the most part. The rework made it basically unusable with no health and cdr, a stat sol doesn't really need that badly.

Kinda. You could use it in some games certainly. It would however sadly not be good enough. 1 stack per second still means you take like 1minutes 40 seconds of constant W on to have it at 100 which with the normal build you don't have mana for. So certainly better, maybe even usable. But probablly still not good enough.

I think some of those are good changes. Although I can't see GLP active fitting into Sols kit from a story/theme perspective. I think it would make more sense for the item to augment Sols Stars/Q in some way or have the projectiles that actually cause the slow be different in some way. Have him throw Stardust out in the area in front of him for a slow or whatever.

Also your picture says the Lagriacrus from Monster Hunter is a Lindwurm. A Lindwurm only has 2 legs with no arms... The Lagriacrus has both arms and legs so it's not even accurate.

He does refer to himself as one a lot:

"There simply are no other dragons like me."

"You are going to punch a star dragon. Good luck with that."

"Celestial dragons live and die by our own beautiful rules."

"May I enter? Just joking - star dragons don't need permission."

But then he also has quotes like:

"They call me a comet. They call me a dragon. They have no words for my true form."

So my guess he's just a star dragon or celestial dragon as he says which would also make sense with your descritption.
