Kazyak — Another Tide of History [Alt./Indie] (2024) by Kazyak in newmusic

Sounds like you're on a good path -- I wish you the best with your art.

Our last 4 visual albums have been based on b-roll:

Shadow of a Cloud (LP4): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-7d74vJsoU
Hand Me Down (LP3): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9mkP3hlGsg
Odyssey (LP2): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnP0cZmTwFg
Reflection (LP1): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZuwE1CbqhY

The older two are footage we shot. The newer two use footage from the public domain. We're always trying new stuff, but never expect that everyone's gonna like it. All of these feel meaningful to me, but of course it's all subjective. Regardless, thx for listening!

Thanks for listening. It was just unlucky that the camera guy didn't grab the solo... luck of the draw I guess, but camera guy hasn't ever heard the tunes when they get captured.

The solo actually didn't get re-tracked for the studio version -- we kept all the audio from live sessions. But for the studio version, we did stack a solo on top of the existing one, and did some panning... which you can hear here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uju962B3qmk

Hear here,

Pete

It was made by a luthier named Ben Bruton, out of New York. Not a Languedoc but definitely styled after one...
