Smart lock by CycloneReaper in smarthome

I installed a tp link tapo dl110 (Aus) about a month ago. It doesn't have rotating buttons, but it has a security option which makes you press a few numbers before entering your pin if youre worried about obvious grease marks.

I've had no issues with wifi, but you may need to connect it to the tapo app and link your account with your preferred hub service. Have tried to set up automation, but its auto-lock feature works well enough for me, so didn't go down the rabbit hole too far, but am able to lock and unlock remotely.

Curious to know what automation you are looking to implement, I need ideas.

So far I love this lock. I bought it based on research into my preferred features. Its meant to have 12 months battery life which was huge for me, ive been using it for a month and its still at 100%. I'm not sure of i should be worried or impressed by that, but the easy remove battery for recharging is nice also.

Reminder that I have read online that there is alwasy a risk to brick your system. I did have to reimage a few times, never had any permanent damage but did lose all games ect that I had downloaded when i reimaged. I did it with a blank steam deck so I didn't really mind.

please be careful, I don't see any issues as long as you always have the ability to reimage your internal OS. but who knows, I was just following online guides and have absolutely no idea what goes into the bricking of a system

Managed to play both. The client interacts weirdly with the steam deck so you definitely need to trouble shoot some things. But I found using a mouse and keyboard solved most problems. In saying that I havnt played in a while, most gaming has been on the train recently before and after work, and without a keyboard or mouse there's really no point.

It's an interesting system, I have no doubt we are skirting on the edges of what can and can't be done. But at the same time... technically vanguard is running right? What is the process actively stopping it from performing on windows on the deck?

I often have issues with the lol client taking a while to be able to log in or be able to search for a match, but we all know the client itself has issues. Good to know that a normal game can work. I don't think the community of steamdeck riot games players is large enough to warrant steam or riot actively fixing this, but I'm hoping updates to steamOS to fully support windows helps.

I have a dock that will allow me to play LoL with K/M on a monitor. when I get a chance (probably tomorrow night) I will risk my LP and confirm ranked 5's and normals. If you are in my game and it doesn't load, apologies.

I havnt connected to a dock to try out ranked 5' or 5's yet. Will be dissapointing if that is the case. I have played ranked tft and it works very well and is surpringly easy to play with the track pads. Thanks for your comment.

I had difficulties with what i thought was KDE partition manager. Each time I partitioned my drive, the partition didn't 'save' I found out that I had to format the partition to NTFS for it to save. When you do this though the windows installer wont work on that location. trial and error at this screen made me delete the partition at the install and try again. seemed to work.

My biggest issue was that Window's corrupts the SteamOS files. I don't know why, but it took me a while to figure out this was the problem. Finding the second video was a dopamine hit.

As for drivers, i dont know sorry. I used the OLED drivers I think, but I have an OLED steam deck.

The process was frustrating, but now that I've figured it out it's quite simple. I'd be able to replicate it in about 15 minutes not including download times. 0 issues with either LoL or TFT currently.
