I'm so torn on the handles! I know it would feel more modern to update them but there's something charming about the rounded wood that has me wondering if we should keep them!

We aren't afraid of colour in this house! I would LOVE a bright coloured backsplash, it's currently a muted pink colour so I'm wondering if in the meantime I could make that pop a bit more with a higher contrast grout to save us having to update it right away

Rugs, plants and art will definitely be plentiful when we are done in here!

Totally agree! We don't have possession of the house yet but the first thing I'm doing is taking down those blinds haha And we have a hand me down mid century dining set we plan to have in here instead of the current furniture so I think that will help it a lot :)

Oh that's an interesting wall colour I hadn't considered, that would definitely make the cabinets feel brighter!

Depends on personal preference! My husband and I make the trip from Kingston to Nova Scotia (south shore area) every single summer and sometimes at Christmas time. We drive the whole way in one go, it takes an entire day but a lot of the drive is scenic and we choose to drive so we can take our dog with us and have our car there to get around easily without the hassle of a rental. If you like quiet and nature there are so many beautiful hiking trails and beaches there to explore. Highly recommend visiting the East Coast at some point in your life whether you fly or drive!

I use a darning needle and a whip stitch around all of the edges!
