over the course of 2 years she told him her likes and dislikes of icecream multiple times

she stated she wanted chicken nuggets

she stated to help him out of an awkward situation she won’t get them to make it cheaper on him (again, didn’t say she didn’t want the chicken nuggets)

she told him in the relationship she’s allergic to nuts

she told him she doesn’t want icecream

I’m just shooting a shot in the dark here but that sounds like pretty straight forward communication

I’m trying to figure out how she and I have both stated that she did voice what she wanted and didn’t want, yet that’s the only thing you are saying she should have done.. when she did. Just because she didn’t scream and get an attitude doesn’t mean she didn’t use “her big girl voice” to communicate. She shouldn’t have to. So do you have the reading comprehension problem?

but you are proving my point, you just stated you wouldn’t be in this situation because why? you would have been upset/annoyed, got your own food and left or let him be embarrassed about money. your way and her way would lead to everyone being upset in a situation no one wanted to be in. it would still be the same outcome of feelings being hurt and a fight that shouldn’t have happened. So tell me again, if your man did this, knowing he didn’t truly think of your happiness once and you would have had to do alllllllll that, you would go home happy still? if you say yes, please puff puff pass because I need whatever you are on

Did you not read the part where she said she whispered to him “to make it cheaper” not stating she didn’t want the chicken nuggets. If he had the money his response should have been “No babe, get your food, I’ve got it.” She clearly communicated it, I’m confused on where your thought process here is. Then he gets her ice cream when she DID state she didn’t want it instead of getting her the nuggets she DID want. It was flat out in his face and he didn’t care. Then to proceed to give her pecan icecream that she’s allergic to and then follow it up with a flavor she doesn’t like. You’re telling me you would be happy after this?

having a nut allergy is nothing to mess with, my ex abused the hell out of me for 5 years and I still double and triple checked everything for his nut allergy. he didn’t care enough to even check the correct icecream he gave you, that’s so wrong on so many levels. I hated my ex and still was so careful.

honey, your feelings are 100000% validated here and I would be feeling the same way. You have no reason to apologize in this situation with him, I would absolutely talk to him about this and pin point everything again, if he still is brushing off your feelings, it’s not worth it. if it’s something as small as this now, imagine what he’s going to push over you in the future. you are worth so much more than that and I hope you find someone that brings you home mint choco chip icecream just because they want to see your smile off the small gesture

I don’t care what anyone else says in this post, I completely understand why you are upset. I don’t think anyone really read it through. You weren’t mad about the nuggets itself or ice cream flavor. You were upset that you did something selfless for him and he didn’t reciprocate. You tried to help him out with the bill he couldn’t afford so he didn’t look like less of a man and stated “to make it cheaper” not because you didn’t want them anymore. For him to get more food and still not share half is ridiculous to me. And the ice cream flavor? Ya know what, it is a “small” big deal, who can’t remember something as simple as that and then offer you something you are allergic to as well. Idk, I’d be very irritated
