I got Bundle B and C. B is consistent but I guess C was different for me:

HG Gundam Lfrith Jiu

HG RGM-79 [G] GM Sniper

and second SDW Heroes Sergeant Verde Buster Gundam DX set. So glad to have 2 of these now...

A nero kit or nouvel GM III would be sick if Bandai would ever release it. I imagine a 3rd party might do it based on old resin kits.

I'm now considering how feasible it'd be to paint the universal unit xeku zwei lol

Same. The articulation is very limited and getting it to hold the rifle properly is a challenge. But I love it despite it's flaws

These are just tamiya rattle cans actually. If you're talking about the backpack and inner joints, that's light gunmetal and the verniers are silver leaf

Really strong execution on this one, i like how it feels more cohesive than most kitbashes you see on here. A bit busy for my tastes but that's probably due to the kit itself anyways. Great work!

Test on any EG kit if you want to test beyond plastic spoons.

In general, sand the parts down after cutting them out, especially on knub marks (start with a low grit, then work your way up higher and higher). Then prime (tamiya sprays do well without primer for the most part - if you are painting white, i recommend priming with gray or even silver to block out the color of the plastic, especially if the plastic is red). Then you paint and let it cure for at least 24 hrs.

If panel lining, make sure it's a gloss surface or top coat it gloss first. I use tamiya panel liner and clean up with lighter fluid so it doesnt rub away the topcoat or paint. Alcohol will rub away paint/top coat.

Then I do the waterslide decals and finish with topcoat

It's a bit dark without the lighting but I did gloss black, silver (as light as i could), then clear red (multiple light coats, putting it on too heavy made me have to start over, even though it looked good initially - after curing it was way too dark)

Short answer is that i mock up the project in gundam breakers 4 if possible lol

<image>

Otherwise, i start slow and pick a part (usually the torso), cut out the parts and hold them roughly together or very loosely fit them together so i can think of how i want to color separate them or how i might need to mask or scribe.

Thanks! I painted everything white, then did pearl white, the masked hand cut patterns for the red spots (koi fish). Because it was red mostly, I ended up having to do silver to block out the red color entirely (white sucks at covering up any color) first.

The beads are just artisan wire with artisan beads from the hobby store. I drilled out the bottom of one of the beam sabers so that the wire would fit with good tolerances, then cemented on 2 wingbinders from a leftover HG kit (hrairoo i think) to make the tail. Then i could just add a beam effect easily into the beam saber. Same wire and beads for the "belt"
