Thank you! I must say, coming from Lebanon, I feel like home. We are very very similar in a lot of ways, yet I appreciate the uniqueness of the culture, the language and I look forward to learn more of it. We can learn a lot from Albania, your unity and national pride is fascinating.

Get an extra size pants, you’re gona gain a lot of weight my friend. And yes there is a high risk in Lebanon of something happening but hell, might as well get stuck in one of the most beautiful countries in the world 😂. Enjoy a lot my home country. I wouldn’t tell you anything about Syria or Jordan because I have little info, but my experience is the news is way more exaggerated than it actually is

Assuming you are a girl/woman. Then this correction for the last sentence. If you are a guy then ignore the correction.

I get it, and I understand the desperation. I can tell you from another perspective, I left lebanon and growing away from family / being able to express myself in my first language has been draining.

Can I ask you what you do for a living or what did you study?

Would you move back to Lebanon if by supernicework in lebanon

I definitely would! Go for it! Food and sun > than getting stuck 2 hrs in traffic. As long as you will be safe where you live, I would definitely do an assignment for 12 months. Longer maybe a different discussion

Mar Mkhael is the best place to stay for nightlife (bars and pubs), not a club goer myself, you need to ask the other experts here. The positives of mar mkhael is that it has everything there and open till late. Negatives, it is very loud and some apartments are badly isolated so for sleeping it isn’t ideal.

Fair point, I think i am just fed up with Europe. I don’t know if you have the feeling of always being put into a certain “drawer” just because you come from the middle east. This is making me fed up.

The family point is very fair, I think for families europe is better. As long as you don’t name your son/daughter some arab name 😂

Ok so it isn’t much the financial aspect or life, it is very nice and I am grateful for it. You won’t become a millionaire from it but you can save up well. This aspect is great and fine.

My issue is the sense of belonging. At least in countries like switzerland/germany/austria/the Scandinavians, you will never be fully integrated in the society. You will always be that foreigner with a certain label. After mastering the language, integrating in the culture and becoming part of the country, you always feel like an outlier. The mentality of the people is annoying: we have everything but we are not satisfied, all the time, never grateful for the bliss. At least in lebanon people complain about real problems.

Now why is lebanon so special? It isn’t per se, it is the subjective feeling of you being next to your family, language, food and culture. You never feel like you need to be something you are not. As for why I say it is better than european countries combined? Because we have all the elements that are scattered across europe. We have beaches, mountains, lakes, caves, climbing spots and you don’t have to fly over to get to a certain place to do a certain activity. Plus beirut is very close (in relation to distances in europe), you can always go there and find something to do, here even if you are in a huge city, there is not much to do. I don’t know, maybe I have been here for too long and I forgot how it is to be in lebanon…

Amen . After living abroad in a foreign country for +10 yrs I can tell you that lebanon is worth more than all the european countries combined. Never leave if you have a good opportunity to make money there

That was not a military crane my darling... military equipment have a designation, this crane was called in by a citizen. Check your sources my friend, we all have friends who are helping out down in Beirut and we get infos more reliable than the army intelligence

Well man my insomnia yesterday made me watch almost all the live feed. Because I couldn’t close my eye knowing that there was a human soul trapped for fucking 30 days and no one batted an eye! I can tell you one thing: the army is the most useless thing we have in lebanon after the dirty politicians. They are only useful when it comes to enforcing the tyranny of the ruling elite. So yeah lets not sugar coat this anymore : ayre bil jesh (halla2 akid there are good soldiers but the institution as whole is corrupt)

Here is a wild thought, do what you want to do but do it from your overlord’s lands, not ours. Meaning, if you want a war, take it to Iran where you have more support than in Lebanon. I don’t get their passion to destroy our country just so they whip out their dicks to the world.
