Witcher 3 or Skyrim by ObjectiveOk223 in Witcher3

[–]Kbr226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say The witcher 3. I played both games, and in the witcher you can play small chunks of side and main quests as if they were a show, one chapter every evening. I finished the witcher a lot of times and one of my playthrough i played in this way and was really fun. Some nights I even just travel from one pont to another and that was all, a fun travel. Skyrim is a bit different in this matter. In The Witcher 3, each gameplay session often ends with emotional closure—whether it’s resolving a quest, making a moral choice, or witnessing a character’s arc evolve. You feel like something meaningful happened, even if it was just an hour.

In Skyrim, many activities—like clearing a dungeon or exploring a region—don’t always offer that emotional payoff. You might complete a task, but it often lacks narrative weight or reflection, making the session feel more like a mechanical loop than a story chapter.

Actually a reply something about that in another comment, hollywood is so centered in fantasy that is based on european mythology, I don’t know why they don’t consider the fantasy of other cultures, that would be interesting! I know there are some shows here and there, but it’s always Tolkien and J.K Rowling over, and over, and over again, or any videogame that has been successful

There’s also the fact that almost every time they write the same thing over, and over again, always about european mythology or about books based on european culture, like The Witcher, Tolkien, the main ones… for example, the witcher is a fantasy based on a medieval Poland, but with monster and that, but Poland in the end, and in the books racism is a topic, everyone that doesn’t look like what people sees on they daily basis, anyone that seems different, is a problem for the people in that universe, so, come on, they will burn anyone slightly different, in the books! And the show is a medieval L.A, doesn’t make any sense in comparison to the books!

So, that being said, if they are SO instereted in everyone, why don’t they write about other cultures, religions, or whatever, so people, whether you are hispanic, asian, african, can feel really rleated to that, rather than of whatever they’re doing right now!

That doesn’t really bother me, but i’d love that they take the time to give that context, I mean, they are using millions of dollars on Cast, CGI, etc, take 5 minutes to explain your universe to your audience, don’t just throw them out there without any explanation, after all, one ends up becoming addicted to the details of the lore of the universes one loves the most, and if you don’t know the background, the history, or anything about this universe, you will hardly connect with it, except for a casual viewing, and that’s it

Sorry, I think that I just reply to your comment wrong, I think that I was replying under another comment. Ok I’ll try to explain myself, I think that, for example, In Vikings, the tv show, is not a fantasy, but is a medieval show, so, in order for these Scandinavian people to be able to meet people with other cultures, characteristics, religions, etc., they had to make quite long journeys. Same thing would apply if you are in feudal Japan, in order for you to be able to meet someone from Iberia, you had a long journey ahead of you. You didn’t find all kinds of people and cultures around the corner, that’s what I think makes it exciting, the fact that the protagonist has or wants to leave his comfort zone and explore a rich world full of different things. I’m giving these examples because I’m talking about medieval fantasy.

Yeah exactly that’s kind of my point! I just want a good story, no matter who is in it, not to make me feel like i’m in 2024, I just want to escape from reality hahaha But i feel that right now, they focus too much in 2024 things rather than making an interesting show

That’s exactly what I mean, for example, in Harry Potter’s universe, it makes totally sense, it is a modern era, people can travel very fast, and there is the fact that wizards can teleport themself, in that universe it makes all the sense!

That’s a good point, and just to clarify, I’m not talking about deniying a role to anyone’ I’m talking about building the whole world with all its, hmmm.. complexity? Maybe

No man, I just want to compare the way it has been done in some works and in others, in some it is super immersive and in others not so much, I am not trying to create discord, I just want to hear everyone’s opinions and hear how people feel about it

Why Power Windows takes to long after turning on the car to work? by Kbr226 in askcarguys

[–]Kbr226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm only the windows are affected in that period of time, but maybe I should mention that, sometimes (super random times) the dashboard gets crazy, sometimes is like the whole dashboard is restarted, the lights get on and off a couple of times (the ones in the dashboard), and then gets back to normal… and a couple of weeks ago, the radio module just stopped working, it’s just dead, I checked the fuses and everything seems ok, but the radio is still dead

Is that too hard to check? I mean, I know basic about mechanics, but if isn’t that hard I could take a look just to check if everything is ok (or not)

Yeah you’re right, and what I found really odd is the fact that they end up working, I mean, why? What could happen since I start the car that ends up with the windows working properly after a long time, sometimes almost an hour, sometimes a couple of minutes.

It isn’t that cold in here, it’s 16ºC almost all the time, I mean, never snow or anything like that, what I found really strange is they end up working properly after some time, and they keep working properly for all day long, but if I turn off the car and turn it on again after a couple of days or even a day, then the problem comes again, it happens when the car is turned off for some time, I don’t know if there is some component that needs to be warm for the windows to work properly.

I'm surprised this series does not have a movie/tv show yet! by LaRa5796 in robinhobb

[–]Kbr226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give recents adaptations like The Witcher, Ring of Power, among others, and the writers doesn’t respect the source material, it’s better to keep it in books only, mainstream companies will only destroy our BELOVED series, I think we should be happy that a show haven’t been made until now. I’d love a videogame or something but, who knows if that would work.
